Wow... just wow... under the cathedral is an extensive labyrinth of archeological remains of 4 different buildings / churches. The site is massive - and every bit is clearly marked so you can gauge how old the structure is that you're looking at.

The ladies voice on the audio tour was boring - too slow - so we just turned it off and made our own adventure. We spent over an hour in the site, and would come back next time we visit Geneva - you see new things every time

Extremely informative tour with history that you can touch, right in front of your very eyes. The audio guide is a must and kept my ten year old and myself engaged for two hours.

In this museum, you'll find there have been many buildings of worship on this site. From Roman times through early Christianity to the Medieval era, new buildings were built on top of old ones. You'll be surprised how extensive this museum is, as it matches the floor plan of the cathedral above.

A nice visual touch are the color coded indicators placed throughout the site, so you can see what time the items are from.

You can walk the distance underneath the church and it was fantastic – they had sites with descriptions of the different eras – some of these sites were pre-Christ. They had original tile flooring in one portion and a description of what might have happened in various rooms. Given how big the church is above the site, it's amazing how much of it they had open for people to view underneath.

If you want to check out the past history of the site, then this is quite interesting. It takes you down through the various layers of historical buildings that existed there far back several hundred years
