We had a wonderful stay at the Moxy where we took two rooms (one ocean view King size bed for myself and the other twin bed for my two kids aged 18 and 20) to celebrate my 50th birthday in Miami. The hotel is a new brand of Marriott Group and very trendy. It's more appealing and attracting the younger crowd but I saw many of my age group too. The concept is different from a conventional hotel with an open bar near the reception, and the best part being a nice open air verandah seating with umbrellas where one can hang out to eat or drink. Tea and Coffee is available in the mornings for free and breakfast over the bar counter can be purchased. This was conveninent for sure. In addition, the Taco bar was a unique concept to get either breakfast or food throughout the day over the counter. The Serena Rooftoop was a lovely setting for a bar and mexican cuisine restaurant. In addition, the appetizers and drinks vouchers that were free were welcome. We also used valet parking facility for a night when we had hired a car to visit Florida Keys, as we arrived late from our trip, and needed a place to park before we return the car the next day. We had a lovely time by the pool side too, with the cool thing in the temperature controlled pool being a glass that sees through the bar below (near the reception). Sun cream and water was conveniently available by the pool side. There is also a hang-out roof top area that is tastefully furnished with a plunge pool type setting and sun-deck chairs for those who do not wish to be by the pool. The rooftop area also gives a panoramic view of the South Beach area. Overall, a very conveninently located trendy hotel just two blocks away from South Beach and Ocean Drive, with ability to walk across Washington Avenue, and Collins Avenue to see some Museums, and other attractions. Restaurants across the streets are aplenty with our favorite area being Espanola Way, which was just seven minutes walk away from the hotel. ATMs and convenient stores are a stone's throw away from the hotel. Overall, a lovely experience and stay.

Hotel's Favorite
If you're planning a visit to Miami Beach anytime soon, I highly recommend this property. My visit to Miami was for family but I wanted to stay at a place where I could also enjoy my time on the beach without the whole hassle of staying at a large resort. The arrival experience was quick and easy but what really did it for me was the interior design and layout of the lobby! So many fun colors with the decorations and furniture which made the experience very "instagram-able". There is a nice hotel lobby bar if you can't wait to get your vacation started. The rooms were thoughtfully crafted to meet basic needs (loved the shower) and I really spent most of my time either at the pool, restaurant, and of course the beach (only a 5 min walk). My favorite spot was the roof top bar with a view of the beach, a smaller pool, and plenty of lounge seating. Throughout the stay the staff was extremely attentive and I could see that they lived up to their covid cleaning standards. 10/10 would come back and recommend to anyone interested in visiting Miami Beach.

I only stay at Marriott properties, and this is the worst of all of them that I've stayed at in the past 10 years. The room was extremely tiny. I booked 3 weeks prior and my room was on the 1st floor it was absolutely horrible. The staff seems very new, it does not matter what time you go to the front desk no one seems to know exactly what's going on and every request takes a long time to satisfy. I could leave more about this hotel but Trust me when I tell you that it's just better to spend your money somewhere else it really is

Normally I'd rate the hotel at 4 out of 5, but as my wife had her birthday during our stay and I really made this effort to contact directly with the hotel (which, if you live in a different time zone, is not easy - only phone call available) and let them know about it. Someone said that he put this down in the system, but in fact - he didn't. When we came - there was no surprise for her prepared (Moxy usually provides balloons and does some small things knowing that). What's more, my wife saw all this in other couple's room and it made me quite irritated about it. I must admit that Moxy is an interesting offer, different than many others. I believe that the hotel would be really awesome if some things got improved. Pros: - Great location. - Everything is quite new as the hotel was opened not long ago (1-2 years?). - Design of everything. - Large TVs in the rooms with all the apps. - Comfortable bed. Neutral: - Really small room sizes not giving space even to put anywhere your suitcase. Unfortunately, it's a standard among all Moxy hotels. In NYC I'd put it in neutral section as that's actually quite common in NY that rooms are really small. - The main pool with loud music and the rooftop pool with really shallow level of water. - Gloss toilet from which you can hear all the noises ;) - The hotel provides free of charge 2 chairs at the beach, but You still need to pay $25 for the umbrella. Cons: - Contact: No possibility of contacting the hotel through text (email, any messanger, whatever) prior coming. - Contact: The only possibility of contacting the hotel (before or during the stay) is... phone. And only through main call centre, which works really badly. Called several times - the reception manager was never in place. - Water: How ridiculous is the fact that in a 4 star hotel you do not get a complimentary daily bottle of water, instead you have to pay $5 for it? - View: Ocean view from rooms really are worthless as the view is not that good. - Breakfast situation: it's fine for me if the hotel doesn't provide the breakfast, but it'd be really great to offer something instead. The place downstairs didn't provide enough options for me.

Hey ElPassoPL, Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about your stay with us. While we appreciate your positive comments, we are disappointed we missed some fundamental and key marks with our service. We are bummed we missed making your wife's birthday a memorable one and sincerely apologize for any miscommunication from one of our crew members. We are grateful for the feedback and will work hard to improve based on your experience. We also hate we didn't meet all of your expectations and that your time with us was muddled due to noise concerns. We will use your feedback in the process of finding solutions to eliminate this issue. We are sorry your stay was not exceptional; that is not what we are about. We wish you the best with your travels and would love to have you both back so we can show you the hospitality you deserve. Alejandra Franco Director of Operations Peace + Love + MOXY

Probably the best string of hotel I have stayed at before. The Moxy is so chic and fun with so many cool things included!!! With two different rooftop pools, depending on your mood, you are able to get served lunch and drinks as you relax ny the pool. The food included was so awesome too! Biggest shoutout though was our lovely bar tender Jose down at lobby bar. He was full of energy and such a treat to talk to. We sat and talked to him for 3 hours!!! Dude deserves a fat promotion or something special.
