Game of Thrones had one of the biggest ensemble casts in television history. One of the games fans would play while watching the show was to see which characters would interact with one another. The world within Game of Thrones started off so wide and vast that it was hard to imagine some of the characters even crossing paths. However, that didn’t stop the fans from requesting some memorable interactions. Some audiences went as far as to have said they would enjoy seeing a showdown between Jon Snow and Khal Drogo.

The show did have multiple locations they filmed at ,which didn’t make sense for some characters to even be in the same scene together. Game of Thrones is also known for killing off a character as soon as anyone fell in love with them. With these two conflicts, it made it nearly impossible for some key characters to have appeared in the same scene, let alone share any dialogue together. Here are the top Game of Thrones characters that never shared a scene together ranked.

7 Jon Snow and Khal Drogo

Daenerys and Jon Snow from Game of Thrones
Warner Bros. Television Distribution

Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's relationship took up most of the final season as Jon was not her first love, which was a contentious plot-line, according to CheatSheet. Khal Drogo was Daenerys' first love despite the fact that they had such a rough beginning. Their rough beginning did end up with the couple falling in love and being happy. Since Drogo died early in Game of Thrones, he never had the chance to meet any of the characters in Westeros. It would have been interesting to see a love triangle form between Jon, Daenerys, and Drogo. Also, fans would have enjoyed seeing who would win in a fight between the King in the North and the Dothraki leader.

6 Jorah Mormont and Davos Seaworth

HBO

Ser Jorah Mormont and Davos Seaworth were not central characters within the Game of Thrones universe. They were also characters that audiences didn't like too much. However, these practical men were able to achieve power by serving as the right hand to some powerful people. Jorah was the advisor to Daenerys while Davos was the advisor to Jon, which would have naturally led audience members to believe that they would have bumped into each other, especially in the later seasons. It would have been easy for these characters to bond over their similar roles even though they were on opposing sides.

5 Jaime Lannister and Littlefinger

Game of Thrones Star Responds to Season 6 Critics
HBO

Littlefinger might have been the least trustworthy character on the show, as explained by Shmoop, since fans never knew what side he was truly on. He was a servant of the Lannister family in a number of instances, however, he never met one of the most important members: Ser Jaime. When Jaime made his way back to the King's Landing, Littlefinger had already left. Each of them traveled around Westeros throughout Game of Thrones, but were never in the same place at the same time. As Littlefinger isn't the most loyal character in the series, Jaime would have not put up with his nature and would have put him in his place.

4 Jon Snow and Joffrey Baratheon

HBO

The show's most beloved hero and villain would have been interesting to see share the screen. Jon Snow and Joffrey Baratheon had the briefest opportunity to meet each other in the first episode when the Lannisters were visiting King's Landing. Throughout most of their time on Game of Thrones, Jon and Joffrey could not have been further away as Jon was at the Wall — and sometimes beyond it — while Joffrey stayed in King's Landing. Fans hoped that Jon would get revenge on Joffrey for killing Ned Stark, but Joffrey was poisoned before that could even happen.

3 Daenerys Targaryen and Tywin Lannister

Warner Bros. Television Distribution

Daenerys was one of the main characters on the show, but was separated from most of the other cast members as she had her own storyline. Screen Rant details how she planned to invade Westeros, which would have led her to the most powerful man in the kingdom, Tywin Lannister. Daenerys always knew that Tywin betrayed her father and continued to get revenge against him. Tywin didn't even see her as a threat and barely acknowledged her presence even though word was spreading about her dragons. As Daenerys arrived in Westeros with her dragons, Tywin was already dead along with her revenge plot.

2 Sansa Stark and Robb Stark

Warner Bros.

The Stark family seemed to be living a happy and very cold life in the North before they all started to go their separate ways. While some of the siblings appeared to be in the same scenes, Robb and Sansa were never seen speaking to each other. It is impressive that the Starks were able to have a very strong familial bond despite never actually acknowledging each other like Sansa and Robb. Fans were able to feel this strong connection when Sansa heard the news of Robb's unfortunate death.

1 Ned Stark and Tyrion Lannister

HBO

Ned Stark and Tyrion Lannister were, in fact, the main characters of season one of Game of Thrones. According to IGN, both men represented the two main houses in Westeros, and both characters are easy for fans to root for. However, Ned and Tyrion never shared a moment together on-screen. It would have been nice to see at least one interaction between these two before Ned was killed. Fans would have enjoyed seeing Tyrion admiring Ned while he wouldn't have given Tyrion a second thought.
