    I attended Aand E last night 18th May with ahead wound and fractured wrist. The staff were all fabulous. Kind and caring and very efficient. Special thanks to the lovely nurse who dressed my wound and stitches it. I hardly felt a thing. Amazing service. Thank you.

    Had to take my 12 year old to children's A&E after he hurt his arm. Everyone we met was kind courteous and extremely helpful , and I cannot fault the care we received. So grateful to have our NHS .

    I'm very disappointed that my minor surgery has been cancelled by Gynaecology Dept. I had this procedure initially booked in February 2023 on 2ww but I've never received an appointment letter from them so I missed it. The doctor apogised for the admin error and told me I will be booked for the next one in April as they need to see me very soon. I found out today that the surgery was cancelled and I will be booked in June! The manager was empathic when I called them but I just feel very let down by Gynaecology Dept. The reason for cancellation was that I've been downgraded from 2ww and can wait a bit longer. However, they still haven't finished all the investigations which were supposed to be done during this procedure.

    My twin brother had been under the care of the NHS for several years and was always happy with the care and attention he received. He spent the last days in intensive care and was always so well attended. The staff were exceptional and he was happy and content and joking until the end thanks to the amazing doctors and nurses who even sang happy birthday just days before he passed. Their care extended to our family and friends and they always kept my brother and us well informed about his condition. Thank you to the other departments who also cared for him before his transfer to ICU.

    I was attending my scan for the second time as first time wasn’t clear. The sanographer who saw me came into the reception and was rude to the reception staff for knocking her door while she was another patient. When I saw her she was very short conversation and snapped at me when I asked her a question.I was still experiencing unclear scan with my baby and she allowed les than 5 minutes to go to the bathroom of baby moves it’s position. I came back quickly some vital were unclear to be seen.I was allowed any more time.I’m a high risk mother with GD . She refused to give me any more time or invite me back. I felt very anxious it hasn’t happened to me before. The lady was not nice. I don’t expect anyone to experience that kind of behaviour.

This is not the behaviour that we expect from our sonographers and we all try to respect each other and our patients. We welcome feedback and will do all we can to rectify this behaviour. If you would like to contact us via our PALS department and provide more detail, we will be able to investigate further. Telephone 0118 322 8338 or email PALS@royalberkshire.nhs.uk Unfortunately, there are times that we cannot complete scans, usually due to the position of the baby. The policy is to invite the patient back for a second scan to try to complete the anomaly test. If the anomaly scan still cannot be completed, we usually do not offer any more scans but we can discuss in more detail when you get in touch with PALS.     Attended South black outpatients 2 this morning in order to have a minor op procedure with dermatology. I would like to commend the 3 ladies working there, a specialist nurse and 2 other nurses. All 3 were amazing and could not be more helpful, very professional and compassionate, explained in detail the procedure, risks, aftercare etc. I would also like to state the lady on reception in this area was also excellent. They are a credit to the hospital. Thank you.

    My son had a blood test today at the children's ward... The staff were amazing!! They entertained him so nicely and cared so much. The whole experience was done so quickly and my son was given a Easter egg at the end. Amazing staff they went above and beyond... Thank you!!!

    I went to have a blood sample taken today for the first time in 40 yrs it wasn't painful and was dealt with quickly by the staff member. She was professional, competent and capable, quick, slick service. Thank you very much.

    My husband had a heart attack a few days ago. The ambulance came in minutes. The catheter lab was ready for him on arrival. His clot was busted within minutes and stent placed. He was attended by consultants and amazing nurses all of whom couldn’t have done more to reassure me while I waited for him to come back onto the main ward. Amazing care. Thank you.
