We are seasoned travellers and were looking for the best view of the Acropolis, which we received! For Americans, there are some important things to know. It does appear that the website just copies and pastes amenities from franchises without knowing what those things are. There is *not* free breakfast (even if that is paid for, as we had prepaid for a room with family breakfast). There is a restaurant on the top of the hotel for food for purchase (or takeaway, their "brown bag" option). There is *not* a hotel shuttle to the airport, as the website indicates. (Management suggested taking the Metro bus for 55 euros, don't do this as private valets are far cheaper and quicker.) We were so glad we didn't rent a car, as the "street parking" is exactly what you would expect of very narrow streets- we saw cars shove others to make room for the four spots in the alley. We had the family room, which featured two small rooms with two doubles. We really enjoyed having (our own) coffee on the balcony, which was tiny but faced the Parthenon. (Do note there is not an electric kettle or coffee machine in the rooms, despite the website saying there was.) WiFi did not work at all our first day (despite management attempting even to change settings on our phones), and was spotty during the rest of the trip. (I could not use WiFi at all for Zoom meetings I had scheduled and had to rely on phone data). The restaurant upstairs is open air and everyone is smoking, which can be typical in Europe. The coffee was not good (a regular cup of Green coffee is 5 Euros and was 1/3 grounds) but the milkshake was decent. The smell in the lobby, however, is very inviting. We recommend the restaurant two doors down, which was excellent at every meal and had the most innovative drinks (alcoholic or otherwise). The bathroom has excellent hot water and a stereotypical teeny tiny shower stall. It was clean enough. Large people will have a difficult time exiting the stall, particularly, as the door opens inward. Just a heads up that the lock on the door is a regular key, without an option to lock from the inside without the key. This means that family that stays inside will either be locked in or will have to keep the key. If you come for the view, you won't be disappointed. If you come for advertised amenities, you may be.

The Strip is where the action is, of course, but there are reasons to recommend this off-Strip property as it's much quieter, tranquil, safe, and has nearly unlimited covered free parking. There are ample dining choices, the casino is well staffed and ample enough for any gambler, the personnel are very friendly, flexible, amenable, and cooperative, and as a mid-range place it certainly fits the bill to a T. No it's not in the league of the Wynn or Caesars and it doesn't pretend to be. The enormous advantage of The Orleans is the price of the rooms as compared to the condition, comfort, and spaciousness. The rooms are much larger than you would expect for the money, and they are supremely clean, in great shape, whisper quiet, have free Wifi with significant bandwidth, and feature wonderful distance views. Featuring a huge arena, a bowling alley and a cinema all in the same complex allows you to have a very low priced vacation where you don't really have to leave the hotel at all!

After a two year absent from this hotel, we stayed there and found our stay very disappointing. First the room had a wet rug, the room smelled like a sewer, the water would not drain properly down the tub. The room has a safe, bathtub/shower combo, limited channels on the t.v. No refrig unless you purchase it. The room is spacious with a couch and coffee maker, no maid service. They have multiple restaurants, bowling alley, movie theater, pool ,jacuzzi. Off the strip, shuttle to the strips. Highs casino with everything you want. The gambling slot card has very poor benefits. Buffet is not open. Covered garage with free parking. Resort.fee includes wifi.

What an absolute horrible and infuriating experience the Orleans casino and hotel is. On arrival we checked into our room. It was dirty and not cleaned properly. Crumbs on the sofa, crumbs on the chair, dirty bathtub, and a dirty mirror. It was pretty obvious there was a substandard effort in cleaning. I contacted housekeeping and they cleaned the sofa, chair, and tub but missed the mirror. I asked them about the trash on our balcony and the response is that the facilities department is scheduled to clean in the near future. It was never cleaned The walls here are pretty thin so we could hear the neighbor urinating. We go out for the day and return to find out that the room was not made. I call the front desk and they informed me that the rooms are only made if requested. What?!?!?! So I ask where they disclose this nonsense. They advise that it is not written down anywhere but the front desk should have disclosed it verbally at check in. Call me stupid but if they had told me this I absolutely would have asked to clean and make the room up, especially for $200 to $300/ night. No towels, no amenities, NOTHING. When I complained to the front desk manager the resolution was to offer me fresh towels. This is an epic failure in customer service and hospitality. Never again will I stay at a Boyd property or patronize a Boyd Casino. They also own Terrible Herbst and a slew of Chevron gas stations. I am guessing that it costs too much to run the auto racing teams so cutting services like not cleaning the rooms and no new towels can save them operating expenses. Overall this place is old, tired, dirty and poorly run. Avoid it at all costs. U will be glad u did!

I did my yearly solo trip to Las Vegas for Super Bowl weekend. I always stay at the Orleans. Checked in Sunday at 3pm, just before the start of the game and there was no line to check in. I was able to get to my room, drop my luggage off and get to the free Super Bowl party before the game started. The Super Bowl parties are great fun. Because there are hundreds of options to bet, someone is eaither cheering or cursing every few minutes over the fate of their tickets. My room was on the 11th floor and I had a view of the pool area. The rooms are larger than most hotels and have a large bathroom with a tub/shower, a large counter, hangers for clothes and shelves to store items. There is a sitting area next to the bed with a coach and table and the bedding is very comfortable. The buffet is greatly improved since they remodeled it. For a $20 dinner it is well worth it. I also ate at Big Al’s oyster bar. The jambalaya pasta was enough for 2 meals and had plenty of shrimp, chicken and sausage with just enough spice without over-doing it. I did well in the casino and the cocktail service is better than any strip resort casino. Never had to wait for service and the waitresses were very friendly and willing to chat if they had time. Since it was cool outside, I also took in a movie that is on premises and also bowled a few games to kill some time. The Orleans is not Bellagio or Wynn but it is a clean, safe and comfortable place to stay with much better casino odds and you can get free rooms for far less play. I can’t wait for my next visit.

The bedding sheets, pillow cases on both beds were dirty.... really disgusting; it took 6 calls and over an hour late at night to have an extra sheet and pillow cases brought up to the room. There were positives at this hotel, and without this happening...there would be no negative review. Unfortunately, this causes me to want t to warn people, and let hotel management know, and it is the first negative review out of hundreds of hotel stays all over the world I have ever written Unfortunately the response from the office manager Valleau Lewis was to brush it off as a 'house cleaning concern' and not hers. In addition, her response was, 'well, a clean sheet was brought up, right? Dirty bedding at a hotel where your spending hundreds a night, should not be tolerated.

Upon arrival at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, I loaded my belongings onto a cart to be transported to my room by the hotel's bellman. The bellman told me he would meet me at my room, and we parted ways. After being shuffled around to three different rooms and doing an inventory of my belongings, I noticed that my glasses were missing and proceeded to file a missing item report. Oddly enough, the missing item report was entitled "Voluntary Statement." The security officer taking the information asked to see my ID, handed it to my granddaughter accompanying me, and took a picture of my granddaughter as she held my ID. After filing the report, I was treated very rudely by hotel security for the duration of my stay. The hotel staff never contacted me to get the matter resolved and still have not yet made any attempt to contact me about my missing glasses. After returning home, I called the hotel's corporate office, Boyd Gaming, and explained my dilemma to the receptionist answering the phone. Although she promised me that someone from "Risk Management" would be giving me a call, that never happened! Later I emailed every member listed on the Boyd Gaming website as a corporate officer, and not one of them has replied. If you are contemplating a stay at the Orleans Hotel or any other properties under the Boyd Gaming umbrella, I would strongly advise that you look elsewhere, whether planning a stay as an individual or a part of a group of 100+ like I was.

My husband and I and 2 other travelers stayed here last week. We were so very pleased. Check-in was easy and our rooms were very clean and roomy. The staff is super nice and helpful. I liked the fact that there was Security asking to see your room key before you get on the "quickest elevators ever" to go to your room. You also need your key to enter the pool. The Orleans Casino and dining was a lot larger than we thought it would be. Lots of options and places to eat. We spent 2 days at the pool and enjoyed it thoroughly. This is a kid friendly place. We enjoyed watching the kids at the pool have a great time. There are also lifeguards at the pool. The bartenders at the pool were very friendly as well. The Casino: We spent a lot of time there as well. All four of us had hand pays on the slots over $3,000 each. I liked staying off the strip. Shuttle service was great. Takes you to the Fashion Mall right on the strip if you would like to go. We had so much fun and will definitely stay here again!!

Reserved a premium King non-smoking room but at check-in was informed that the only room available was smaller with 2 queen-sized beds. Desk clerk wasn't interested in helping and basically informed me that was the only option. Exhausted after a long drive so just took the room. The hotel was loud and all night heard heavy doors slamming and people in hallways talking. Smell of cigarette smoke was everywhere. The resort fee was higher than the actual room mate which is a scam. Sent an email to the resort but never heard from a representative. Overall very poor experience.
