Songwriter and poet Sara Renberg begins her zine series looking at the often-maligned solo career of former Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus. Focusing on his 2001 solo debut (before officially becoming Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks), she takes us on a joyous song-by-song investigation of why people hate it and how much there is to love. It's a fun read, even if you don't know the album. Along the way, there's the end of Pavement, the making of Silver Jews'  American Water , and life in...

Based on a true story, the film is a queer punk coming-of-age tale, taking place in Southern California in the early 1990's. Raised by a schizophrenic single mother, Petersen's life story unfolds in a series of baffling and hallucinated events. Shelley created this as a little take home instruction guide for her bike repair workshop at the Portland Zine Symposium. It goes over the basics of fixing a flat tire, working with wheels, the parts of a bike, bearings, doing a tune-up, tools, working on brakes, and dealing with bike shops as a woman. Most of all, what shines through is Shelley's character and personality, in the way that she describes things and her utter passion for cycling.

Official DVD compilation of various presentations and live musical performances from the 2009 Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). DVD ISO rips. A DVD error in my copy means the Ron Gilbert keynote is not included in this rip. That has been uploaded separately.

Filmed at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, Washington. This is video-game designer, programmer, and producer Ron Gilbert's Keynote address. An error on the DVD led to missing footage from about minute 30-38. PAX Unofficial DVD has the complete speech.
