Very smart, well written, thoughtful movie. I really enjoyed it! It doesn't have the best acting, but the story is really cute, all too familiar & anyone can probably relate. I recommend this movie if you're not looking for the same old movie plot, with the same old ending. You can tell it was shot on a small budget, but that doesn't take anything away from it. It adds to the charm of it. I really loved the characters & think it was a great project from JasonNash & friends. I liked that he used actors, as well as Social Media stars. I also think it was very personal to him in that, art was imitating real life & he had a story to tell. Super Cute!
This movie is excellent. It delivers on many levels, but it's the honesty that punches through most for me. There's laughter in this work, but truth and pain as well. It's real. The willingness and vulnerability with which JasonNash puts himself out there is part of what makes this so watchable and good. The people who complain about the downbeat parts of the movie are a lot like the female interest toward the end who objects vehemently, unswervingly, "No, you're wrong! Marriage isn't like that!" Okay, you can tell yourself that, but the reality remains that all relationships are work and glossing over that truth doesn't make them any less so. I laughed but I also teared up at the end and smiled ruefully. The movie communicates, and it connects. I give it five stars, because I found it to be really, really good.
The cast of this movie is a Who's Who of the LA comedy podcast scene (Patton Oswalt, Paul F Tompkins, Jon Benjamin,...), so I expected 90 mins of silly improv and riffing. The silliness is there--there are at least 20 big laughs in this movie--but the tight editing and the poignant narrative from Nash gives the movie real shape and direction.
Buy this movie and see for yourself what a real joy a DIY project can be...
I'm a huge fan of JasonNash's work on Vine, which prompted me to watch this. The tone of the movie was more bleak than I anticipated, given his carefree Vine persona, but that's probably my only criticism. It's not a feel-good, lighthearted comedy, but that enables Nash to provide profound, candid commentary on the difficulties of marriage. Admittedly I would know nothing about that struggle first-hand, but Nash's vulnerability is far from contrived; believable characters is one of the most important factors in a movie to me, and this film delivers. His wit and comedic finesse really shine through in the writing, which show great promise for his future projects such as FML: A Social Media Adventure. In summary, not something I'd watch for a quick laugh, but excellent execution. Well done, Jason!

JasonNash has long been one of comedy's most candid and incisive satirists of marriage and domesticity and JasonNash Is Married is his magnum opus, a funny and touching debut from a singular and original comic voice.
JasonNash's writing is genius. The cast/acting is brilliant.
To Jason: Please make more films. I canno explain how much this inspired me to write more. Your determination to get this film out the door made me want to work harder as a comic and as a writer. Thank you.
