Installation Information

This section contains changes to the product's Program Directory. 1. YY/MM/DD NO ENTRIES

Documentation Changes

This section outlines major errors in the product's published documentation. 1. 16/11/21 "Figure 2. Basic Material: Unlicensed" of the "Program Directory for IBM Tools Customizer for z/OS" v1.1 is in error. There is no IBM Tools Customizer PDF available. The IBM Tools Customizer v1.1 User's Guide is available only in the IBM Knowledge Center at the following URL: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS3NDP_1.1.0/topics/ccq_home .html Also each of the Tools Customizer enabled products includes considerable detail for the Tools Customizer product. There should be a section in the IBM DB2 Tool product User Guide titled something like "Starting and preparing Tools Customizer for use". This chapter is designed to provide sufficient Tools Customizer assistance.

General Information

This section contains general information, i.e. SYSGEN hints/tips. 6. 18/04/06 Referencing Item #5 below. A customer suggests replacing the ADD with REP in the CCQDDDEF sample job would simplify the comments 9, 9a, 10, 11 and 11a. 5. 14/04/03 Make sure to review required DDDEFS to avoid S0C1 ABEND executing the Tools Customizer EXEC. Review the following comments from the SCCQBASE(CCQDDDEF) sample job. //* 9) IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DDDEF CREATED FOR SCEELOAD //* THEN COMMENT OUT THE DDDEF STATEMENT. //* IF NOT: //* 9A) CHANGE #sys1.sceelked TO THE DATA SET NAME FOR YOUR //* SCEELKED //* 10) IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DDDEF CREATED FOR SISPLKED //* THEN COMMENT OUT THE DDDEF STATEMENT. //* IF NOT: //* 10A) CHANGE #sys1.sispload TO THE DATA SET NAME FOR YOUR //* SIBMCALL. //* 11) IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DDDEF CREATED FOR CSSLIB //* THEN COMMENT OUT THE DDDEF STATEMENT. //* IF NOT: //* 11A) CHANGE #sys1.csslib TO THE DATA SET NAME FOR YOUR //* SIBMCALL. Failing to add the required DDDEFS for Tools Customizer APPLY processing will cause errors like the following executing the Tools Customizer EXEC SCCQEXEC(CCQTCZ). IBM0531S ONCODE=8091 Operation exception From entry point VDEFINE at compile unit offset -1A71EAC0 System abend code 0C1, reason code 00000001. Abend in host command SELECT or address environment routine ISPEXEC. System abend code = 0C1 Reason code = 01 Module name . . . : CCQLHME Entry point address 1A3FA570 PSW . . . . . . . : 078D1000 8008E748 Check the Tools Customizer APPLY joblog for messages like the following ERROR MESSAGES (SEVERITY = 08) 2456 Which showed the following detail. IEW2456E 9207 SYMBOL ISPLINK UNRESOLVED. MEMBER COULD NOT BE INCLUDED FROM THE DESIGNATED CALL LIBRARY. IEW2456E 9207 SYMBOL ISPQRY UNRESOLVED. MEMBER COULD NOT BE INCLUDED FROM THE DESIGNATED CALL LIBRARY. 4. 13/03/26 Do not APF authorize the HTCZ110 load module. The IBM Tools Customizer (TCz) load library is not intended to be included in APF authorization. The TCz load module is not coded per APF authorization requirments so will ABEND with S0C4. For example the following. 361 *-* "SELECT CMD(CCQINI '"ISPJCARD"') NEWAPPL(CCQ) PASSLIB" >L> "SELECT CMD(CCQINI '" >V> "::::::" >O> "SELECT CMD(CCQINI '::::::" >L> "') NEWAPPL(CCQ) PASSLIB" >O> "SELECT CMD(CCQINI '::::::') NEWAPPL(CCQ) PASSLIB" IBM0534S ONCODE=8094 Protection exception From entry point CCQLHME at compile unit offset +000000DC at entry off set +000000DC at address 25A05F8C. System abend code 0C4, reason code 00000004. Abend in host command SELECT or address environment routine ISPEXEC. System abend code 0C4, reason code 00000004. Abend in host command SELECT or address environment routine ISPEXEC. System abend code 0C4, reason code 00000004. Abend in host command SELECT or address environment routine ISPEXEC. 3. 12/08/29 Since the Tools Customizer (TCz) is the entity who writes to SCCQTENU in its operation. Users can be assured that when and if SCCQTENU is updated in any PTF APPLY, the contents of the SCCQTENU would not be regressed. And when and if it would, the ++HOLD of the PTF will send a clear warning to alert the users to take appropriate actions. In order to avoid future confusion and concern we documument this warning. If there is concern of SMPE overwriting a member TCz generated a procedure should be implemented to avoid missing configurations due to subsequent maintenance APPLY. 2. 11/04/14 TCz requires PL/I 'Dynamic Allocation support' which was delivered by APAR PM00267. 1. 11/01/27 If you have z/OS 1.12 with PL/1 maintenance PUT1012, TCz may fail during the ISPF session. User will see the following messages on their terminal: Error occured in Step 3: Delete the temporary data set. Return code: 4 IBM0280S The ERROR condition was raised by a SIGNAL statement. From compile unit EDXRSET at entry point EDXPRS at statement 453 at compile unit offset +000138C2 *** This problem is resolved by PL/1 LE APAR PM30680. Please make sure to APPLY PL/1 LE APAR PM30680 to avoid this problem.
