It was a quiet and somber dedication to two marines killed in combat and a third who survived wounds he suffered during Operation Enduring Freedom.

It was a fairly private ceremony with mostly family in attendance which made it all the more personal.

"All we can do is give you our gratitude," said Former President Bill Clinton.

Best year: The Clintons

It isn't just the secretary of state who can count 2011 as a very good year. Her husband, former president Bill Clinton, appears fully rehabilitated from the image hit he took during the 2008 campaign and has reclaimed his title as the smartest strategist in the Democratic Party. The Obama White House even appears to be taking a page from the 1996 Clinton reelection strategy, making a series of small-bore moves on the economy to show progress. (If you want more on how to fix the economy, just check out Bill's book "Back to Work," released last month and ensconced on the bestseller lists.)

A limited number Hillary 2008 campaign materials, some signed by Bill Clinton are on sale

Don't forget - this is your last week to own a bit of 2008 history by picking up one of the last pieces of memorabilia from Hillary's campaign, including posters, t-shirts, signs, buttons and more.? My favorite is the campaign's DVD -- with a limited number signed by Bill Clinton -- that contains Bill's and Hillary's speeches from the historic 2008 Democratic National Convention, along with other exclusive and moving footage. https://contribute.hillarycampaign2008.com/store/?utm_source=sp4274055&utm_medium=e&sc=sp4274055

If you want Hillary to run in 2012, tell her why

Here is a short conversation between my friend Rumana and President Clinton Dec 9 at a book signing in Chappaqua. Here is Rumana’s synopsis:

I said to him hello Mr. President me and my friends want to know if Hillary will run, and I mean in 2012 and not 2016. He paused for a sec. And said she keeps saying no but if she gets enough encouragement maybe she will change her mind.
I said you should go to S4h FB page and see we are encouraging her. He put his hand on my shoulder and said if lot more people encourage her maybe she will run. I said Mr. President we are talking about 2012 please do something. He said she needs to know you are there for her and I said please tell her.
