A Hallmark Channel original movie. Lucy wasn't sure if she would find true love, until Jack moves to town with his daughter Sophie. Together they teach her it's never too late to start chasing rainbows!

Pretty blonde schoolteacher Lucy (Jodie Sweetin) accidentally bumps into single-father Jack (David Haydn-Jones) at a coffee shop, and the two meet again soon after as Jack enrolls his cute little daughter Sophie (Dakota Guppy) into Lucy's class at school. Sophie's life is all about chasing rainbows, while her dad is beginning his new civil engineering job. Meanwhile, Jack & Lucy continue running into one another, at the park, at the movies, and at school, with the two of them inevitably drawing closer. It's a warm & lighthearted little story about love & loss, and starting anew. The casting is exceptionally good, especially cute little Dakota Guppy as Sophie!

I wish the main character female wouldn't ALWAYS wear lipstick - while running and exercising - come on....BUT I enjoyed the movie and the acting was very good. The dialog quick and snappy - funny too - so it was an enjoyable time. Will watch again in future. Nice for a rainy afternoon.
The rule of lost spouses is that the children are the first to fall in love with the new interest for the husband or wife!! This story has both Father and Daughter falling in love with the teacher!! Wonderful story with a profound moment when the daughter makes a wish that can't come true. Both the Father and the teacher see that this is deeper than it was supposed to be and from there the story comes to fruition with a new romance!!
Love the movie but one of the song that plays during the movie when the movie aired on hallmark doesnt on the dvd. The song the plays when Lucy is looking at her book and remembering things isn't on the dvd. So I had to take a star away other wise I gI've the movie 5 stars. Good story really liked it.

Movie is G rated, and enjoyable. That would normally be a five-star rating to me. But Amazon shipped the DVD in very flimsy brown paper. There was NO bubble wrap, and NO 'shock absorber in the wrapping'. So the DVD arrived with its case badly broken. Hence the three-star rating.
