(Having a background in literature and poetry, music became second nature to Will Bishop, despite being a reserved individual, he has gone against the odds performing regularly at music venues writing music, a far cry from his upbringing. William John Bishop is classically trained as a cellist and double bassist, learning acoustic guitar as a teenager. Influences include Laura Marling, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. Will writes on guitar and piano.

As performing is something that appeals to him the most he believes that you shouldn't let the opinions of others determine your own decisions. His performances have been used as part of the degree courses at The University of York department of film, media and television. Will is currently studying at York for a PHD in English.

William Bishop has a simple acoustic approach to his music, and his sound is somewhere between Bob Dylan and Tom Waits. His vibe is melancholy while his vocals are strong, capturing the mood of his lyrical content while his hands slide up and down the neck of his acoustic guitar, bringing it and his music to life. These songs demand your full attention to catch all the nuances of his words and music, but the payoff is rich indeed. Put this one on when you have the time to truly listen, and you’ll walk away a better person.

There is a melancholy about his songs and delivery. I’ll avoid the obvious references. There’s a harsh honesty about his lyrics - the simplistic sound enhances the depth of the story.)

    • Estonian National Male Choir, The Estonian National Male Choir (RAM) is currently the largest full-time professional male choir in the world. Founded in 1944 by the legendary composer and leader of the Estonian choral movement, Gustav Ernesaks, the choir has since been conducted by several highly esteemed Estonian choral conductors, including Olev Oja, Kuno Areng, Ants Uleoja, Ants Soots and 2005-2008 Kaspars Putninsh from Latvia.

In a cooperative project with Conductor Paavo Jarvi, The Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO), the Estonian girls Choir "Ellerhein", and The Estonian National Male Choir (RAM), won a Grammy Award in 2004 in the category of "Best Choral Performance" for their recording of Sibelius' Cantatas (Virgin Classics, 2003). A year later their recording of Edvard Grieg's "Peer Gynt" (recorded by the same line-up) was voted the orchestral album of the year in BBC Music Magazine.

During its long history Estonian National Male Choir has performed all over Estonia and former Soviet Union, as well as in many European countries, Israel, Canada, USA, China, Japan and Singapore. In 2017 the choir sung a cappella and with orchestras in China (Shanghai), Russia (St Petersburg), Belgium (Bruessel), Finland (Helsinki). In 2018 the concerts took place in China (Beijng, Shanghai), Hong Kong (46th Hong Kong Arts Festival), in Singapore’s famous Esplanade Concert Hall and in Japan (Tokyo NHK Hall, Matsuyama, Toyota, Toride, Sendai, Nagano, Hiroshima) and in 2019 in France (Strasbourg). In the early years, the Choir devoted it's working repertoire almost exclusively to a cappella choral music, much of which was composed by it's founder Gustav Ernesaks. Since that time RAM, has divulged itself into the Classical mainstream and is now most famous for its interpretations of large-scale orchestral works, frequently performed with the world's leading orchestras and conductors. At any given time, RAM has approximately 30 large-scale orchestral works available in its' repertoire, and most of the current tours abroad are large-scale cultural projects that provide a forum for these performances.

During the last decade, the choir has paid homage to the musical trends and performance styles of several different periods and regions, working with such guest conductors as Lev Sivuhhin, Robert Sund, Josep Prats, Roman Toi, Chifuru Matsubara (Japan), Kaspars Putninsh, Anatoly Grindenko, Lone Larsen (Sweden), Timothy Brown (UK), Vytautas Mishkinis, Toomas Siitan and Jaan-Eik Tulve.

    Review of first album:

    From YouTube:
Naxatras is a hard psychedelic rock band from Greece. They play a warm psychedelia full of fat grooves, dreamy melodies, heavy riffs and trippy guitar solos all with the vintage touch of the 70's. They have been playing and developing their sound since 2012. In 2015, they recorded their first full-length album at Magnetic Fidelity with Jesus I. Agnew as their sound engineer, who contributed his in-depth knowledge of analog recording and the independent music industry. Only analog equipment was used in the recording/mixing/mastering stages of the album. All the songs in the record were performed entirely live during just one day. "Naxatras", which was released in 2015, became one of the best selling releases of the genre and has received wide critical acclaim. In 2016, they released their second full length album "II" as well as an EP, once more recorded fully analog and performed live.
In 2017, they released the single "All the Stars Collide Into a Single Ray" and recorded their third full-length album, using similar fully analog and live techniques. "III" was released in 2018. The band has developed a reputation for high-energy live performances, combining elements of psychedelic/progressive rock, stoner, funk, jazz and eastern music with a trippy video wall to accomplish full stimulation of the senses. In summer 2015 they went on their first tour playing 5 countries in the Balkans. In summer 2016 they toured Europe once more playing more than 10 different countries. In autumn 2017 they toured for the third time for 40 days and have now performed in most European countries and many distinguished festivals, including Lake On Fire, Void Fest and Keep It Low.

Hassan Shakosh (Born on August 12, 1987, Giza) is an Egyptian mahragan singer/rapper on the Al Shawakesh label. Hassan attributes his career in working-class neighborhoods to the start of his career singing populist songs in support of working class people. He has been singing since 2000. Currently his style takes the street-music, grunge-adjacent style of "mahraganat," which is a radio-friendly electronic rap (shaabi). Hassan is one of the leading mahragan singers in Egypt, but mahraganat music is causing a moral panic similar to gangsta rap in the US in the 90s. Conservatives, including the government, are concerned about the references to sex and alcohol.

Hassan Shakosh's songs include: Bent El Giran (2020) by Hassan Shakosh and Omar Kamal Oud al Batal (2020)
