My very favorite books are those with truth in their background. While over 100 nuclear weapons have been lost due to accidents or mistakes, the general public seems to know surprisingly little about them. In this awesome story, the author takes the actual events that happened and builds an entirely genuine novel about them. So entertaining and riveting it captivated you till the very end(and even then, it’s not over). There are numerous links to read the actual events as they occurred). A great read, highly reccomended!

I won't repeat all of the plot, but on a return voyage from the Tonkin Gulf, an aircraft carrying a nuke falls off the aircraft carrier Ticonderoga and sinks to 3.5 miles below the surface of the Pacific Ocean. That's just the start. True story. What happened to the nuke? To this day, no one knows. Mr. Goodman has crafted a masterful story using that as the starting point. Lots of action, lots of mystery, and a satisfying but surprising conclusion. A really good story--you should read it.

A Skyhawk fighter aircraft mysteriously rolls of the deck of an aircraft carrier in rough seas. All safety protocols ineffective. A nuclear bomb attached. The pilot an Israeli navy pilot trapped inside. Israel as a country is in its infancy. Threatened on all sides by it's enemies. The need nuclear capacity. A treaty prevents their containment of one. America wants to help but their hands are tied. Actually the nuclear apparatus was removed from the weapon unbeknownst to the pilot and crew. Mossad is involved. This is a truly great story based on an actual incident with very believable characters involved. Non stop action, intrigue. A magnificent action packed spy thriller!
As grandmother to four granddaughters, I love reading about strong, independent, fearless women who take on the world and win. Flight of the Skyhawk grabbed my attention from the first pages about the actual disaster at sea during WWII and held it to the very end. The author takes readers on a journey through the US and Israel with incredible details about the locations and the inner workings of the agencies charged with protecting their citizens and countries. For readers who like thrillers, this one is a page turner.
5.0 out of 5 starsThe best Nathan Goodman thriller to date

Based on a real event involving a nuclear weapon, Flight of the Skyhawk is a fast paced read that is hard to put down. John Stone from the Special Agent Jana Baker books gets his own series off to a dramatic start.
Based on a true story this is a great read. Tali’s works for Mossad and finds someone is trying to kill her for something in her dead uncles footlocker. Great characters and a story which makes it hard to put down
