Frankfurt on Foot Daily Walking Tour in English

We are the #1 tour in Frankfurt for a reason. Our native Engish-speaking guides always try to make your tour memorable with unique tidbits of Frankfurt history as well as being passionate about showing you this beautiful city. We believe the only way to see Frankfurt is on foot where you can enter buildings and see where history was made. We show you places the tour buses can't. There is no reason to book this tour ahead of time, you can just show up at our meeting point and pay cash on the day of the tour. It will cost you less than booking ahead. <br>It is an easy walk, with comfort breaks, snack break, and is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Private tours, group tours, and layover tours available by request when you visit our website and we answer emails promptly.

The only thing nice about this station is its architecture. It is a fine historic building, that unlike a lot of Frankfurt, survived the second world war. Apart from that it is quite simply awful. The lower levels with the underground connections are confusing, the signage is lacking, with often no translations into English. The station is in by far the worst part of the city. You step outside to a windswept plaza fronted by terrible concrete buildings. Make sure you don't look at strangers, this is an area of prostitution, cheap hotels and drugs. The atmosphere is oppressive and threatening by day, and dangerous at night, with young women standing on the street corners, their pimps hanging around in close proximity looking threatening, druggies doing deals in doorways and assorted weirdos roaming the streets. The people sitting outside the bars and cafes looked rough and unpleasant. Quite simply horrible!

When in Frankfurt, I always stay at the same hotel, that is just across the street. I'm a fan of almost any train station, but I love Frankfurt's station very much. After all, the city is teeming with energy; and so is the Hauptbahnhof. Lots of eating choices; lots of people-watching..... And the Reisezentrum is open late hours to answer your travel questions, buying tickets, etc.

This main train station is amazing. Beautiful building with plenty of shops to stroll around while you wait for your train. Grab a bite and go see the flower shops or sit around and watch the world go by.

We arrived at this main station from Amsterdam by train. It is beautiful inside, very architectural worked. They have small train station and train models inside acrylic boxes. Kids love it. Also, if you are traveling to anywhere in Europe by train this is where you will embark.

It is clear that Frankfurt is intent on cleaning up the Main Train station. It used to smell of urine and have people and drug users sleeping all over the place. I am definitely starting to notice a difference and feel more safe when here.
