The American violinist Tai Murray made her concert debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the age of nine and was a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist from 2008 to 2010. Her recordings of the Ysaÿe solo sonatas and of American music for violin have received considerable attention. Born in Los Angeles in 1982, Derrick Skye describes his duo as ‘serving as an exercise/introduction to many of my other compositions’.

On October 30 2023, tickets will go on sale for a performance of The Dream of Gerontius taking place in the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday 16 May 2024 at 7.30pm. The concert, to be given by the Bach Choir, the Philharmonia Orchestra with conductor David Hill and featuring Roderick Williams, will also contain a new work composed by Mr Williams. The Bach Choir are offering a 25% discount for block bookings of 10 or more tickets, which can be booked at groupbookings@thebachchoir.org.uk.
