Did a day tip early June and definitely wish I had more time to spend there. The beach was beautiful, shops were fun. Definitely explore more next time.

We visited Fort Clinch and were pleased to have locals in costume providing historical context to the fort. It is well kept and easy to access, though would be difficult for someone who is not ambulatory. Some areas are not blocked off and would be dangerous to small children, so you'll want to keep them close and not let them run around. All in all, it was a great experience, and we were lucky to experience this place and its complex history. Bring plenty of water and wear sunscreen, and walk around with the spirit of the past.

We absolutely enjoy visiting Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island. It is a usual layover when we visit Florida.

Read reviews about this place and how people are complaining that you can't walk too well on it because of all the driving, but I believe that's the purpose of this park. You pay a small fee to either walk on the beach or you can just drive with your 4x4 vehicle and just hang out. When my brother and I went there is only probably seven vehicles on the beach and all of them were fishing. Everybody was respectful and quiet. Usually when you see people drive on the beach they are loud, music blaring, and drinking. But this was a complete opposite people were just chilling. I really like this stop and hopefully it stays like this.

Shannon greeted us as we entered and was very friendly and Knowledgeable. We tried everything they had. We bought 2 bottles of the Cello. The rum, gin and Bourbon were very good.

I thought it was great to drive on the beach and park right near the water. The kids enjoyed the water, even though it was rough waves every now and then. They will turn you away unless you are a Nassau resident or dod emp.

    Color Purple was AMAZING!!!

We were lucky enough to get tickets to the sold-out show. WOW what a talented bunch of musicians - singers and instrumentalists! Hope to catch many more shows!

Easy beach to get to. Limited parking but there is also parking on the beach for 4 wheel drive. So if going to this beach- you will have to walk a bit to get away from the cars/noise. Restrooms/changing area kind of far once we picked our place to sit. Very busy- kids fishing right on beach- near where people walking- just not used to that. Also dogs are allowed on most beaches- please bring water for them!! Saw lots of people with dogs and NO water. It was really hot out. Definitely need umbrella !

We thoroughly enjoyed this beach. Shelling is the best I’ve seen of any beach. It is close proximity to a park and parking. As well as the Salt Life bar, which is a great place to eat to take in the views.

We received a good orientation of Fernandina and Amelia Island when we stopped in here. It's an easy walk along the riverfront

Small museum but very interesting. The exhibits show the history and culture of Amelia island. The presentations and exhibits are interesting, clever and fun! You don’t have to have a connection with Amelia island to see something here that will fascinate you!

This volunteer docents are enthusiastic and dedicated. One docent explained all about three large ship models he made himself! These vessels will sail in the water! Another docent gave us lots of information about underwater archaeology and the many Spanish ship wrecks that are offshore as well as treasures already found. Another docent gave us information about Amelia Island and its shipping industry. We spend two wonderful hours here. Well worth it.
