Trivia

It is the first film in the Pitch Perfect franchise not to release in the same year as a film in Sony Animation's Hotel Transylvania franchise, of which Pitch Perfect (2012) released the same year as Hotel Transylvania (2012) and Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) released the same year as Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015). Goofs

In a brief flashback to Fat Amy's youth, she is wearing a My Little Pony shirt. But this shirt has the modern "Friendship Is Magic" versions of the characters; that generation of the franchise would not debut until many years after Fat Amy was a little girl. See more »

Quotes

Emily: Alright ladies, pick up your tits we're going out!
Chloe: What do you mean we're going out?
Emily: What do you mean what do I mean? We just sucked balls in front of DJ Khaled.
Aubrey: Hmm?
Fat Amy: Listening.
Emily: He's staying at that fancy casino hotel across the street. Okay, I say we all get up. We get dressed! We go over there and we show him that we are not a joke!
Fat Amy: Emily, I... can't believe that a half decent idea came out of your dumb mouth.
Emily: Thank you.
Fat Amy: Okay. So let's get tarted up.
Chloe: Tatted?

Since when did this become a "Rebel Wilson" movie!!!!
22 April 2018 | by belle-41942See all my reviews

I really loved the first two Pitch Perfect movies and was really looking forward to this but..... while I appreciate the story line, there were two things that really annoyed me. First, since when did this become a Rebel Wilson movie? It was all about her. I don't mind Rebel Wilson in small doses but I'm not a huge fan and frankly, as much as I love the movies, I don't particularly enjoy her part in them. I am Australian and I actually find her sense of humour distasteful. She's not funny. Second, I did not like the way that Rebel Wilson's character, Amy, belittled Haillee Steinfeld's character, Emily. Quite simply, it showed to the world that it's okay to bully someone. And it wasn't just once, it was quite a few times. This is not a criticism of Rebel Wilson but a huge criticism of the writers/director as it leaves me wondering what on earth was going through their minds when they okayed those lines in the movie. Anyway, apart from that, it wasn't too bad but definitely not as good as the first two. I will say that the ending was was great and so was the song they chose, Freedom.
