5.0 out of 5 starsSurprisingly Funny and Touching

I watch a lot of movies including comedies. While I find many amusing, I seldom really laugh. This one repeatedly had me laughing out loud. Quirky. Very unpredictable. Just when I thought I knew where it was going (again, watch lots of movies)… it heads somewhere else that was way more fun. I did not know the lead actor, but he was absolutely terrific, as was Haden Church and Christina Applegate. They play off each other incredibly well. Yet even with all the humor, there were emotionally touching and revealing moments throughout. Very smartly written. Sharp dialogue. Quickly paced. The director appears fairly new in that role, but has been the editor on a large number of highly successful films. I’m grateful that a friend told me to watch this movie. It was nonstop entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 starsBuzz-worthy movie of 2017

What a hilarious, quick-witted, heartfelt movie! If The Holiday and Wedding Crashers has a baby, this would be it! The script was so well written that if I laughed too long I was sure to miss something good. The cast delivered and each character was believable. This is a must see, laugh-out-loud movie with a ton of heart. You won’t be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 starsSomething For All!

I am not a great at giving spoilers away and to be honest I would rather you rented or streamed it. I live in the UK and sometimes buy films from AMAZON US as they do not appear on the UK Site. I am very happy that I bought this one. Sometimes it is laugh out funny, sometimes it is quite sentimental. This is not to put you off but the laugh out funny moments are conveyed well. and the ensemble cast are in the comfort zones and obviously enjoyed making the film. Domnhall Gleeson is setting up as a Serious actor doing all manner of roles. I have also seen Nina Dobrev in other projects as well as Christina Applegate and Thomas Hadden Church.
So if you are willing to try buy or rent it. I prefer to buy as I have a large eclectic collection of DVD's. You will not be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 starsturns into an evaluation on what really is love, attraction
Verified purchase
This movie won't change anyone's life, but it is legit hilarious. With the common "husband cheats, wife & mistress work together to kick his butt" movie in Hollywood, this took a different route. The wife cheats, and what initially starts as a buddy up of the husband and ex-lover, turns into an evaluation on what really is love, attraction, and what kind of person should you really be. Domhnall Gleeson is the absolute star of this, and is beyond hysterical. The first 5 minutes had me laughing more than most films after they are over. The film also discusses aspects of marriage with regards to communication, toxic masculinity, confidence, and aspirations. I can't say the film is technically 'good', but its thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend (especially if you are a fan of Gleeson).

One of the best romantic comedies I've seen in the last few years. Great cast. Smart script. Only complaint is that Nina Dobrev should have had more screen time. She sparkled every time she was in a scene.

3.0 out of 5 starsFast delivery, but the movie was not very good

Maybe just my opinion, but this movie was not very good. But, delivery was very fast, and the item was packed well and arrived in excellent condition. So, no complaints about that.

Movie itself was slow, not that funny, and the acting felt forced.

4.0 out of 5 starsHe's good in everything

Watched for Gleeson. He's good in everything, Crash Pad being no exception. Interesting to see him in an American comedy and glad the Irish accent stayed. The movie is a nice role reversal of romantic comedies, as in the boys get to eat the proverbial pint of ice cream. Witty dialogue, funny movie!
