Biography

Bunny Ayres Peck Maysuch was the mother of the famous screen actor Gregory Peck.

Wedding Announcement:[1]

Gregory P. Peck will leave tomorrow for St Louis, where his marriage to Miss Bernice Ayres, sister of Mrs. Charles Rannells of La Jolla, will be solemnized Friday, June 4, in the Catholic Cathedral. Miss Ayers is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Ayers, old-time residents of that city. The bride, who is a blonde of striking type, will wear a gown of white charmeuse with tunic and veil of real lace, fastened with sprays of orange blossoms. She will carry a white prayer book with flower markers and will be attended by her sister, Miss Mae Ayers, who will wear a dainty gown of pale pink chiffon and carry a shower bouquet of roses. Mr. Peck will be attended by W. G. Gains of St. Louis, A reception at the home of the bride will follow the ceremony. After a wedding trip which will include the San Francisco Exposition, Mr. Peck will bring his bride to La Jolla, where they will be at home on Ray street June 13 in La-Lo-O-Mol cottage, which he has just purchased.

Her first marriage to Gregory Pearl Peck ended in divorce around 1921. Their son Eldred {Gregory} then lived with his father.

Bernice married Joseph Maysuch 22 January 1927 in Santa Ana, Orange, California. He was 32 and she was 30 when they married. He was the son of Michael Maysuch and Christina de Francisco.[3]

Bernice M Maysuch died in 1992 age 97 [4] [5]

Bernice Mae Maysuch
Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Bernice Mae Maysuch, a longtime San Francisco resident who was the mother of actor Gregory Peck. She was 97.
Mrs. Maysuch, who had resided in San Francisco since 1936, was the widow of Joseph Maysuch, a racehorse owner and distributor of office equipment. He died in 1986.
Her first husband, Gregory Peck Sr., was a pharmacist and their only son was born in La Jolla in 1916.
Besides her actor son, Mrs. Maysuch leaves foru grandchildrne and four great-grandchildren. all of Los Angeles. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma.
