Deleting your information

When can you request deletion of your personal information?

You can request deletion of your viagogo account on this page. If you do so, you will no longer be able to access your account or use our services to buy or sell tickets using viagogo. We will delete your personal information and ensure that no one can access or make continued use of it (although we will keep a copy of any personal information you have provided for a period of up to seven years in order to enable us to comply with any regulatory and legal obligations which may arise).

You also have a legal right to have your personal data deleted. This right is limited (see "What happens if I make a deletion request?" below) and only applies in the following circumstances:

The personal information is no longer necessary for the purpose it was originally collected/processed,
You withdraw your consent (where consent was previously provided and required for us to process the information),
We are processing your personal data based on our legitimate interests and you object to the processing, as long as our legitimate interests in processing your personal information don’t take priority over your objection,
You object to the processing, as long as our legitimate interests in processing your personal information don't take priority over your objection,
We've been processing your personal information unlawfully, or
We are required to delete your information in order to comply with a legal obligation.

What happens if I make a deletion request?

If you have any active listings, outstanding payments, or purchases or sales when the event is in the future, we will be unable to delete your account or the personal data we hold about you until these orders/sales are resolved or these listings are removed.

If we are able to process your request, you will not be able to access your account, use any of our services or access any of your account data on our website. We will delete your personal information and ensure that no one can access or make continued use of it but we will continue to hold a copy of your personal data for a period of up to seven years from your most recent activity on our website (e.g. buying or selling tickets) in order to allow us to establish, exercise of defend any legal claims relating to your use of the site or any transactions you have entered into which may arise in this period.
