Stunning view towards Phuket, the sea and beaches. Worth visiting. Some small shops in the vicinity. The elephants all appear to be well cared for and the session was so much fun! I also loved how there were professional photographers and all the photographs are uploaded to a free document to download. With how green the water looked from a far I thought that it would be turquoise water when we got there. It wasnt. There are no facilities(showers or bathrooms) that we could see. We set up at the far left if looking at the water where the sun chairs are at to rent. 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas was 400 baht. The sand was extremely hot, so bring some water shoes. The water was like bathtub temps. I could see where that would seem nice, but we were hoping for a cooler dip based off the heat outside. - je annieLondon, UK7 contributionspatong beach Even though it was cloudy and the sun wasn't very bright, there were still many foreigners sunbathing and taking photos with concave shapes. The characteristic of the beach is that the sand is very fine, like ground pepper, and does not hurt your feet when you walk on it. - Laura G2 contributionsOMG! This place is incredible!!! I'm a monthly donor and I've been following them on social media so I was pretty familiar with this organization. I've always dreamed of visiting it one day. And this April I got a chance to do it! All the dogs and cats are so well looked after. The place is clean and nice. They have a pool for dogs and a park next to a pond.
The staff and volunteers are so passionate about the animals, you can feel the love they have for these babies. They let us spend some time with the puppies and the cats. I also got to meet the dog I sponsor. This is by far the highlight of my whole vacation in Thailand! I am definitely will be back and will sign up to volunteer!
Please visit them. They do not push for donations or adoptions. They just want to educate and bring awareness.
