Ángel Di María made a great gesture and gave his support to Rosario journalist Juan Pedro Aleart, who recounted on air the sexual abuse that he and his brothers suffered in their childhood from their own father and uncle.

After the heartbreaking testimony of the host of the news program on Canal Tres de Rosario, the Argentine national team and Benfica footballer expressed his solidarity with Aleart and sent him a private message via Instagram. The journalist shared Di María's words with his followers and thanked both Fideo and his wife, Jorgelina Cardoso, for the gesture: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

"Hello John. First of all, let me tell you that Jor told me that you were talking and he told me who you were and that we played when we were kids. When he told me I remembered those moments when we were kids. “You didn't change anything,” began the message from the former Rosario Central player.

Then, Di María highlighted the courage that Aleart had to tell the ordeal he suffered as a boy in front of the cameras: “Then, writing to you for the balls you have, I hope you were able to tell all that. To be able to get out of that darkness. It makes me happy that this is the case and that today little by little you are better and happier, after all that horror. I send you a big hug and I hope you continue to improve day by day.”

The journalist responded to the world champion's message thanking him for his support. “Dear Angel. You can't imagine how I would like to have a talk with you. No cameras or microphones. You made me so happy when I was having such a bad time, I always felt identified with you, that you fought to the death and that you overcame all the obstacles. You crashed into the wall so many times until you broke it. And you did it. Today I can say that I feel something very similar. I hug you tightly and I hope we can meet in Rosario,” Aleart replied.

Aleart publicly denounced his father and uncle for making him suffer a series of events throughout his childhood and adolescence. The first of those mentioned in her story was her father, who committed suicide weeks ago, whom he accused of having committed sexual crimes against her sister since she was three years old. He also pointed out that he and his other brother participated in some of these acts.

“My father, in addition to being violent, sexually abused my sister from the age of three onwards, while he was HIV positive. Fortunately, he did not infect her, but I am a witness to her panic attacks, deep anxiety attacks, insomnia, hair loss, and loss of body weight. And I know that he thought about how to take her life as a result of everything my father did to him,” the journalist began by explaining.

Alone and from the desk where he usually gives the news, he continued: “I was a witness because my father sexually abused my sister in front of me when I was a child. He sexually abused my sister and made it all seem like a game. They made me and my brother believe that my sister was exaggerated and that she was crazy. “My mother was both a victim of all this and an accomplice.”

In this context, he said that for a long time he insisted on her to make the complaint. Finally, this came to fruition and the man was reported for aggravated sexual abuse. “But justice took its time. And my father was notified of this criminal complaint three weeks ago. Not wanting to face everything he had done, the atrocity, the barbarity that he had committed, he decided to take his own life,” he said. And he told his sister: “I want to tell you, Sofi, that the horror movie is over.”
