The Vancouver Police Department, quoted above, are referring, rather coyly, to this chap here:
The assault occurred on Thursday, May 9, at approximately 2:15PM, when the mother, her husband, their baby boy, and one other family member were sitting in their vehicle on Commercial Drive. A strange man opened the door of the car and attempted to grab the mother and her nursing four-month-old infant from the back of the car.
Happily, passers-by assisted the alarmed mother, and Mr Beekmeyer, who was shirtless at the time, was overpowered and arrested shortly afterwards, before being charged with assault. Unlike the police and several news outlets, including the Vancouver Sun and the CBC, witnesses to the crime were quite comfortable using the words he and man when referring to Mr Beekmeyer.
Apparently, it’s the kind of euphoria that results in one attacking random women and their four-month-old babies. Until a crowd of passers-by pin one to the ground.

He continues: “Now I’m thinking, how can I kill you? I could have killed you in a different video… Yeah, I’m a serial killer. Do you hate women? I hate women. They don’t take enough oestrogen.”

When not sharing his thoughts on how “super cute” he is, and therefore how sexually aroused he is, Mr Beekmeyer declares himself a saviour who will “fix the world.” Specifically, by transforming men into women. However – and this is perhaps something of a catch – “all women have to be destroyed.”
Mr Beekmeyer adds, “I’m a beautiful person.”

Still, at least the public were spared getting what might laughingly be referred to as the wrong idea, thanks to the police and media misleading said public about the identity of a dangerously deranged criminal.
Though it occurs to me that, for the passers-by who intervened and overpowered Mr Beekmeyer, it must have been quite strange to see subsequent reports in which this shirtless man was referred to by the police and the media as a woman. As if their own, first-hand perceptions, from mere inches away, were somehow wildly and implausibly inaccurate.

It must be quite surreal, and presumably upsetting, to hear lawyers and officials pretending that a 6’5” man – the 6’5” man who recently molested your child in a supermarket toilet – is somehow, magically, a woman. One would hope that lawyers, judges, and the other occupants of a courtroom – and possibly, at a stretch, even journalists – were interested in reality, in establishing facts. Not affirming some unhinged and misleading fantasy.
I wonder how those journalists, lawyers, and court officials will retrospectively process their very public participation in our current, ongoing clown show. In which, as above, the child molester is flattered and indulged, his pretence affirmed, while his victims are repeatedly insulted. Will they still like to think of themselves as beings of high probity?

Speaking as someone with direct experience of the trans thing (I transitioned over a period of about ten years), I am firmly convinced that many, many male-to-female ‘trans’ persons – quite possibly the majority – are simply autogynephiles, crossdressers essentially, and not transgender at all.

W/r/t to VPNs, a number of businesses, services, etc. have cottoned on to the common use of VPNs and are taking to blocking Internet address ranges known to be associated with VPNs.
I suspect it’s a conspiracy between web developers and smart phone manufacturers. You have to keep buying phones with bigger screens so you can still make out some of the content through the letterbox sized hole left by all the hopping, gibbering, gobshite that now comprises our online lives.

As Substack and (here in Canada) Blacklocks Reporter proves, a subscription model works if you have good content. But mainstream news agencies don’t, and haven’t for a long time. Canadian newspapers can’t give their rag away. Newspapers are so used to the ad-supported captive market status quo that they have no idea how to compete in a marketplace any more, and so they just keep doubling and tripling down on the model that isn’t working.
Somebody give those ladies some bread to knead, or carpets to beat.

I can’t offhand think of a newspaper I would even consider subscribing to, even at a bargain rate. At one point, the Telegraph was sending me almost daily emails begging me to subscribe.
When I flick through my news feed, I’m continually clicking “not interested.” There’s so little that they publish, almost nothing, in which I have the slightest interest. To the extent that a newspaper’s content reflects a worldview – a collection of topics and opinions that you’re supposed to relate to or identify with in some way – it’s actually quite alienating.
Activism: I am not the first to notice this, but there is a huge asymmetry in political activism. If a small group gets totally worked up and crazy about drinking straws, they can get them banned. The rest of the public is totally unaware that straws are an issue, are not organized, and don’t care. So the loonies win even if straws are NOT a problem. Same with light bulbs or fanatic levels of recycling or anything. There is not a strong enough lobby for “leave me alone”. The US EPA has just passed regs that essentially ban ICE cars by 2035 or something. That may get people’s attention.

Consistent with whatever errors I was seeing. The frustrating part was not knowing. The onsesy-twosey web sites, news sites, whatever were just an annoyance. Only when I needed to get my tickets to the TPC golf tournament off of Ticketmaster did it hit me that there was no way a big site like TM would have such a problem.
For some reason I was led to believe that Substack was going with a model where you would have an account you would replenish and then whenever you hit a Substack article, some minor amount, like a buck or a quarter or whatever would be automatically deducted. Like with the car toll passes. I don’t know where I got that idea but not sure why it wouldn’t work. It might not need to be perfect. Even as a voluntary donation thing I wouldn’t mind doing something like that for sites that I’m not likely to do a full subscription for.

I’m surprised that the psychiatrists were not fooled. They so often are, after all.

These are people entrusted with special powers in order to protect and preserve our civilization. Every time they betray that trust they weaken our society and erode the necessary public trust in our necessary institutions. Is it any wonder that we encounter with increasing frequency talk about vigilante action to deal with criminals? And characterization of such officials as betrayers and traitors?
Perhaps on the general topic, if not the immediate point of the post: I was dismayed yesterday, reading a dad’s group that I frequent, by some of the comments on a post by a father. He related a conversation with his daughter in her early teens, who said she was struggling with her ‘identity’ and ‘identified’ as ‘bisexual’ and ‘demisexual’. (‘Demisexual’, as best as I can make out, is bisexual, in fancier, longer words.) Several commenters directed the father to trans pages/trans resources, though neither of these ‘identifications’ had anything to do with transgenderism! (Further, there wasn’t really any comment to the effect that, well, early puberty *is* confusing).
I do believe the ‘trans’ trend has peaked, but clearly this is in spite of the ongoing efforts of some.
(For mine, I stayed out of the conversation as I didn’t feel it was quite my place; my daughter is far below the age where that stuff is talked about. And a father’s page where the father wants to know how best to help his daughter is not the best place for arguments over this sort of thing).
That is, pretty much, a defining attribute of puberty. You don’t know, from one week to another, how long your legs are going to be.
Hence “growing pains”, chiefly in joints as I recall, when kids wake up from overnight growth spurts. But that is happening long before puberty.
True. But again, how much of our modern problems of dealing with children going through what every human being in history has experienced and, for the most part, survived…how much of this is a result of literally shoving excessively introspective literature, especially fiction, at children and virtually demanding that they “open up” about the details of such feelings? Whatever psychological BS the sociologists (pretend to) have been trying to resolve over the last 70 years or so has only been made worse by their “cures”.
Here’s an example…completely outside the realm of sexuality, well mostly, from personal experience. 8th grade, mid-1970’s we were loaded into busses and taken to a theater to watch a movie about Anne Frank. When we got back, we had to spend an hour or so (it felt like a year) discussing how we felt about it. Everyone had to say something and it was apparent that the more histrionics employed, the more approval you received. It was bloody awkward. Especially being somewhat introverted. Puzzled I asked a buddy later what all his (I was sure) BS was about and he said that he figured the more he spit out, the sooner he thought it would be over. Which really didn’t make much sense yet I kinda understood.
Two suggestions. Firstly, single sex schools. There is no advantage in pretending to be a girl in a boys school. Secondly, any lady concerned about mad trannies should simply use the gents. She will find that the gentlemen therein will politely point out she is in the wrong facility, and, on hearing her explanation, will not only refrain from waving a penis in her face but will deal roughly with any nutter that attempts it.

One of the things I find most genuinely dismaying about the last 20 years or so has been the almost complete abandonment of the police and justice system’s responsibilities to the wider, law-abiding public.
Worse, it shows no signs of reversing despite multiple tragedies.
Take Jordan McSweeney.
Despite being in his 20s, he had been charged with 69 offences, including for interpersonal violence, had been convicted of 28 of these – that’s not a typo, 28 convictions – and had been set free from prison on licence just nine days before he savagely murdered Zara Aleena who had been walking home.
What possible excuse can exist for letting such an obvious savage with 28 convictions including for robbery and violence to wander around the streets of London?
And what about Ashley Simbarashe Maparura?
A Zimbabwean who entered the UK as an asylum seeker in 2017 and of whom a judge recently said “You have a dreadful record for using weapons” – 68 convictions across multiple countries, apparently, including drugs, robbery and assault.
Naturally, he has not only been granted asylum but the judge who convicted him is reported to have said that he was “glad” Maparura had been granted leave to remain in the UK.
I just … I don’t even know what to say to that.
And the list goes on. Sabina Nessa murdered by an Albanian illegal immigrant who smuggled his way into the UK in the back of a lorry after having apparently already committed crimes in Greece along the way.
Alice Gross, a fourteen year-old almost certainly murdered by Latvian Arnis Zalkalns, who had come to the UK after being released from prison in his home country for stabbing his wife to death in a forest.
Apologies for a long message, but in short – sometimes you really do have to wonder whose side are they are actually on? And why isn’t the side that pays taxes?

There are sufficient examples for a much longer one. Not that that’s a comfort.

It’s perhaps worth noting that the British judiciary is routinely denounced – at least in the Guardian and similar publications – as being terribly white and male, and therefore – supposedly by definition – biased against the poor and vulnerable, the misunderstood, and the heroically brown and downtrodden.
And yet, I would guess that it’s safe to say that the judgements of those pale, male, and supposedly conservative judges are far more lenient than would be preferred by the public, taken as a whole. Especially members of the public whose experience of crime is rather more direct.

It also occurs to me that people in high-status professions, including legal professions, are more likely to have internalised high-status opinions, mouthed as a kind of social jewellery. Regarding those high-status opinions mentioned above – the ones being mouthed as a kind of social jewellery, this comes to mind. If you haven’t read it, it’s quite a telling, and fairly typical, example of the thing I’m talking about.
Note that Ms Spargo-Ryan, our Guardian columnist, is effectively selling out her law-abiding neighbours, the neighbours being robbed in the night, in order to signal her own status and to win the approval of her equally vain and pretentious peers. Her fellow progressives. The ones who refer to her as “a beautiful person” for being farcically unrealistic, and for wanting habitual burglars to scamper about the streets freely and unmolested.
It’s a reprehensible position. And yet, by mouthing it, she seeks – and finds – applause.
The list could be extended in other ways.
While I admit I haven’t followed the Jordan Neely / Daniel Penny case very closely so may be missing some important details, to my knowledge the treatment of Penny seems outrageous.
Also in Spain, a now 80 year-old man is on trial for shooting an intruder who broke into his remote farm house in the middle of the night with a chainsaw three years ago.
Apparently, the prosecution have asked for a 25-year sentence.
Even taking into account the press trying to sensationalise the story to stoke outrage and get more clicks, if you try to rob a 77 year-old’s house in the middle of the night and threaten him with a chainsaw, frankly you get everything you deserve if the old boy turns out to be armed and dangerous.
Norfolk’s Tony Martin comes to mind.
The West in general has inexplicably latched on to the notion of ‘proportionality’ when responding to criminality.
Meeting an intruder with a shotgun when he only (only!) has a knife is now construed as a criminal act.
Fundamentally, this is delusional, perhaps even more so than thinking a 6’5” man can become a woman by saying so.
Given that, how likely is it those passers-by who assisted in restraining Beekmeyer are going to be given the Daniel Penny treatment?

If a public trust scandal is large enough, no one involved will ever see justice done. A single corrupt cop will be dealt with harshly; an entire police force, plus the judiciary, plus the Crown/District Attorney’s office will never be held to account for their corruption because the notion that the entire edifice is hostile to the people is so frightening that the public will reject it out of hand. No matter how much blatant evidence there is.
The SRA scandal of the 1980s is merely one example. The COVID lockdowns, invocations of martial law and coerced medical experimentation are the most recent. As David has been chronicling, it is no longer a question whether the civic institutions of the West are hostile to their own native citizenry. Yet we still have people here questioning the evidence of their own lying eyes.
That needs saying more often.

As noted in the update to the post, Ms Spargo-Ryan’s calls for unearned leniency are utterly selfish. She is tying herself in knots – and misleading her readers – in order to elevate herself in the eyes of her peers. Other AWFULs. The other victims of the burglars, people living nearby – and the future victims of those burglars, which there will doubtless be – are seemingly of no importance.
Pretentious leniency is merely a sign that one doesn’t take the lives of the preyed-upon seriously. The victims’ lives can, it seems, be degraded and put in mortal danger – by nocturnal gangs of burglars armed with carving knives – while the perpetrators are to be excused and cooed over as if they were somehow the victims of the drama, the only ones deserving of empathy.
An empathy that, as their actions vividly demonstrate, will not be reciprocated.
Yes, but: Never forget the old communist slogan, “the worse, the better”: This is the Guardian we’re talking about, and commies have always sought to bring down societies by destroying the social fabric by any means available.

I caught this livestream from Genspect featuring Mia Hughes, author of the WPATH Files. It covers a previous medical insanity beginning in the early 1800s of excising healthy ovaries to treat mental illness.
It lasted about 30 years. Lobotomies lasted about 30 years. Nobody is held to account, even though the practices are obviously bad (or they are now).
They figure that the trans insanity is not going to last that long because it’s so egregiously wrong, and furthermore the data on the poor outcomes has been collected faster.
