We will be in Pescara for an event and want to tack on a tour (about 3 days) to the Amalfi coast before we head home to Canada. We would leave Pescara Oct. 19 and need to be Rome late on Sept. 22. Any suggestions of tour companies/guides people have had a great experience with? We won't have a car, so not something we can (or want) to do on our own.
It would be an unusual tour that took you from Pescara, but maybe you'll find one. Most of the 19th would be taken up getting to the Amalfi Coast (nearest cities are Naples or Salerno). The Amalfi Coast is a small, compact area so you generally stay in a single location while there, Positano or Amalfi, for example. You could visit from one village to another by land or sea, but they are no more than 25 miles apart.

75 helpful votes People who participate on the forums are usually DIY travelers. You could DIY this trip as well. Train to Salerno would eat up half a day but would be cost-effective vs. private transfer. In Salerno you would have the ferry system available for travel to various locations on the AC.
