I know this may seem odd to post in this sub, but I promise there’s a genuine question lol. I recently came across a post in this sub asking about female artists comparable to Cudi, and 070 Shake was one of the recs. I just finished listening to her first album.
First I’ll say, as a fan of Cudi and Logic, I was immediately captivated by the cover for her album. Shout out Sam Spratt! The same artist who designed many of Logic’s album covers as well as MOTM III. Her album was cool and the songs were at least enjoyable, but I didn’t get strong Cudi vibes. I can say I’d like to hear them make tracks together. Maybe those could be comparable to Cudi’s tracks with Travis. I’m gonna listen to her 2nd album soon to gauge my opinion on that one.
Something I noticed is that 070 Shake is partially categorized as Hip-Hop and…I didn’t hear it on her first album. I know Cudi doesn’t rap 100% of the time but he does rap. I don’t recall hearing that from Shake. I’d like to hear her spit and hear her flow. Is it possible that I missed it? Are there recommended tracks from Shake that give Cudi vibes? How’s her 2nd album compared to her 1st?

shakes 2nd albums is amazing my fav over modus. My fav track is Purple Walls, and followed by se fue la luz as a close second. Its by far one of the most cohesive new artist albums ive heard in years. Astonishing grandiose but dark production, with her vocals dialed in to a T. only songs im not the biggest fan of are cocoon and vibration. Cacoon is just a hype song and vibrations outro vocalist isnt that good imo. 9/10 album for me
she raps a lot on her EP glitter, shes done with that now for the most part. Her new song w ken carson is more hiphop but shes pretty much made her own lane in the alternative music world
