Name a more stylish couple than Rihanna and A$AP Rocky—we’ll wait. The two stars once again proved their sartorial chemistry this week, when they stepped out for a date night in New York City in elegant ensembles that exuded cool.

Rihanna made a daring choice with her look, opting for a completely sheer black maxi dress with a wavy, silky peplum detail at the hem. The airy skirt swished over her matching sheer black tights and suede black pumps as she walked.

The singer covered the top half of the dress with a black leather button-up jacket with a plunging neckline from where a sheer black bra peeked out. Rihanna finalized her look with black rectangular shades, white diamond studs, a white diamond tennis necklace, and the It bag of the ’90s: a little black Lady Dior.

Her blonde hair was down straight, and she wore bronzy makeup, including a lined chocolate lip.

Contrasting Rihanna’s all-black fit, Rocky opted for an oversize suit in a bright baby blue. He did, however, pay homage to her look via his accents. The double-breasted blazer, for example, featured black buttons, and under it he layered a crisp white dress shirt and a tie made out of what looked like black leather. He also wore shiny black leather shoes, around which his loose suit pants pooled. As for jewelry, the rapper added some shimmer with a pair of bulbous silver earrings.
