Blue Moon launches boozy baseball beer ice cream served in Rawlings mini-helmets

There’s nothing better at a baseball game than sitting back with a nice, cold beer from a man who just screamed “beer man, heah!” at you at the top of his lungs. Actually, maybe there is something better… Finishing it off with a scoop of ice cream in a mini helmet. And now, there’s no need to choose between the two as Blue Moon is launching limited-edition boozy ice cream served in a Rawlings mini helmet.

“Blue Moon is brightening this baseball season by giving fans a chance to experience the joy of ice cream in a helmet at home for fans 21+,” said Courtney Benedict, VP of Marketing, Above Premium Beer at Molson Coors, via a press release provided to Guilty Eats. “Rawlings is the perfect partner for us to bring this to life since Rawlings and Blue Moon have deep baseball roots creating the opportunity to bring the best in baseball and the best in beer together just in time for the summer season.”

The flavor is called Blue Moon Home Run Twist, and is a Valencia Orange Vanilla flavored ice cream meant to evoke the flavor of Blue Moon beer, with a light but not insubstantial 2% ABV. Working with ice cream maker Hardscoop, the ice cream will be sold in a 2-pack for $49 including dry ice shipping. And of note, this is not at the ballpark – you can order it to be delivered directly to your home.

“We have one simple mission at Hardscoop, combining alcohol with ice cream, and making it taste great,” said Jason Kirby, president of Hardscoop. “We had a great time working with Blue Moon to match the sweet and citrusy flavor of their iconic Valencia Orange peel, and we think we nailed that with Blue Moon Home Run Twist”

There are a few fun bonuses, too. At checkout you can pair your ice cream order with peanuts or caramel corn to top off your ice cream. And speaking of topping off, every order comes a limited edition Rawling mini-helmet.
