Allegri loses his temper, jacket, tie and almost shirt in rage after 1-0 win

Max Allegri lost his temper, his jacket, his tie and almost his shirt when sent off for dissent as Juventus beat Atalanta in the 2024 Coppa Italia Final.

The Bianconeri took the trophy thanks to an early Dusan Vlahovic strike at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

However, the tension got to Allegri, who is not new to tearing off his jacket in rage during the closing stages when his team risk giving away their slender advantage.

Nonetheless, this was extreme even by his usual standards, as the coach was infuriated by referee Fabio Maresca not immediately giving a foul for a push on Danilo in the penalty area.

He tore off his jacket and screamed in the face of the fourth official.

This earned him a red card, at which point Allegri sarcastically applauded Maresca, then took his tie off and seemed to be unbuttoning his shirt too.

The Juventus tactician screamed ‘shame on you’ and was finally distracted by his desire to shout ‘where is Rocchi?’ into the stands of the Stadio Olimpico, looking for the refereeing designator.

He was angry because Vlahovic had a penalty appeal rejected earlier in the second half, when going down under a nudge.
