Inside the star-studded Met Gala after-show

All hail Streatham queen Naomi Campbell who stole the show both on the red carpet and at the after-show where she joined her lil’ bro Usher for the party of all parties.

But before we go into all the fun at the ultra-glam celebration –  does anyone know the real reason behind the MET Gala – each year?

It’s actually for charity  –  a fundraiser for the museum’s Costume Institute, sponsored by TikTok and the fashion label Loewe –  to help make art and fashion more accessible to everyone.

Fashion’s biggest night is a cocktail and dinner party for about 400 to 450 invited guests.

Wealthy celebrities and brands snap up all the available tickets and tables at the charity benefit.

An individual ticket goes for around £60,000.

It was overseen as usual by influential Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who was joined as host by Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Zendaya and Chris Hemsworth. to make fashion accessble for everyone.

All roads led to the master of ceremonies Usher after the Met Gala.

The renowned singer-songwriter hosted a Secret Garden Party – a vibrant late night celebration set within The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens at The Times Square Edition.

The exclusive bash featured a live DJ set by D-Nice, along with bespoke Belvedere cocktails, dancing and a glitzy array of entertainment and fashion world guests, including Naomi Campbell, Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu, Coco Rocha, Queen Latifah, Ne-Yo, Leon Bridges, and Chris Appleton.

The entire space, which already features a lush orangerie-inspired backdrop, was further transformed into an opulent lush garden space with fresh greenery, florals and over the top topiary, a nod to the Met Gala theme, The Garden of Time.

Throughout the evening, guests sipped on fresh cocktails prepared with Volcan Tequila and Belvedere Organic, as well as Whispering Angel Rose, and snacked on indulgent bites prepared by Chef John Fraser.

Birch Event and East Olivia Design, a leading global event design house, partnered with The Times Square Edition to bring Usher’s Secret Garden to life.

The venue, The Terrace and Gardens, served as the perfect backdrop for Usher’s creative vision. Their innovative approach infused the modern space with an organic flair, seamlessly melding verdant green installations with bursts of vibrant florals.

Once guests entered the space, they were welcomed into a captivating hidden oasis, where lush tropical and garden greenery, meticulously selected by East Olivia, adorned the space from floor to ceiling.
