Jo Malone has enlisted the help of Hollywood actor Tom Hardy to be its new brand ambassador, casting him in its latest spot celebrating the city of London.
In the one-minute advert titled "The Exceptional And The Contradictory," Hardy gets into detail about life in the U.K. capital.

"London life is all about living with differences. We love them: the opposites that attract, the riddles, the contrasts that somehow match up, the paradoxes, the exceptional, and the contradictory," the "Venom" star narrates, as he goes around the city streets in all its glory.
Here, viewers are treated with vignettes of the city's calm — and simultaneously chaotic — nightlife through the eyes of the actor, coming across the busy exits of a nightclub, sitting in a near-empty diner, and passing walkways that are just so distinctly London.
"Our differences connect us. They're part of who we are. They make London what it is. You can feel it in the air," Hardy says, as the spot ends with a cinematic shot of a Jo Malone Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense.
An Ode to London
Made together with production house NOIR and directed by Academy Award winner Edward Berger, the latest from Jo Malone shows how the melting pot of a city has influenced the essence of the brand, and vice versa.
Shot within only two nights, the script was a collaborative effort between the brand's in-house creative director Wandjina, Tom, his father Chips Hardy, and Berger.
Hardy, who was born in Hammersmith, London, was hailed by Berger for his participation as an active collaborator in the piece.
"Tom Hardy is one of the greatest actors of our time, so to collaborate with him was an absolute dream. We made every shot a labor of love and Tom’s care shone through," he shared.
Hardy also expressed his joy in taking part in the project, saying:
"What started as a shared connection and passion over similar philanthropic pursuits has since evolved into a wonderfully rewarding creative partnership, rooted in a shared commitment to making a long-term positive impact."
"It was a wonderful experience to work alongside such a brilliant team, helping to create a film that not only challenged us to visualize fragrance in new ways but was also evocative of the London we love - a city that embodies the exceptional and the contradictory in all its brilliance," the actor concluded.
