As Disney celebrates its 100th anniversary, KMBC 9 is going into the Walt Disney Archives in Burbank, California.
In California, we met up with soon-to-be Disney Legend Mark Henn.
"When you sit down and I do some of these characters, it's kind of like opening a box of memories," Henn said.
Henn has been drawing legendary Disney characters for over 40 years.
"It was a lifelong dream for me. It was a boyhood dream," Henn said.
He is known as the princess guy for his work drawing Disney princesses in movies like "Aladdin", "Beauty and the Beast", "Mulan" and "Princess and the Frog."
"One of the nicest compliments I get these days is people coming up and saying, you animated my childhood, and that means a lot," Henn said.
He started his career at Disney, drawing none other than Mickey Mouse.
"To me, Mickey is a great actor, and this was a great, you know, role for him. and so that's how I looked at it. You just kind of jump in the deep end and hope for the best," Henn said.
He's now recently retired, but he's still called in for advice and guidance for his sharp eye.
"I'll be sitting here drawing, and I'll think I'm in the Disney Studios sitting here drawing, whatever it is, Mickey, Donald, or whatever the character is, and just say, 'Oh my gosh, I mean, how blessed am I? I mean, I am truly — I'm very thankful, blessed to have that opportunity," Henn said.
In August, Henn will be designated a "Disney Legend," the Hall of Fame award awarded by The Walt Disney Company to people who have made a significant impact on the Disney legacy.
KMBC 9's "Disney 100: The Man from Marceline" airs Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m.
The Disney 100 Exhibit opens at Union Station Friday, May 24.
