Brahim Diaz shines as Real Madrid crush relegated Granada

Brahim Diaz scored twice as Real Madrid secured a comfortable 4-0 victory against Granada, who had been relegated from LaLiga, on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s squad showed no mercy to their opponents following Granada’s demotion confirmation earlier in the day. Fran Garcia and Arda Guler found the net in the first half, while Brahim added two more goals after the break.

Despite making 10 changes from their midweek match against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid extended their lead at the top of the league table to 15 points.

Meanwhile, in Bundesliga action, Real Madrid’s upcoming Champions League final rivals Borussia Dortmund suffered a 3-0 defeat against Mainz. Lee Jae-sung scored twice and Leandro Barreiro also found the net, propelling Mainz out of the relegation zone.

In other matches, Union Berlin were stunned by a late comeback from Cologne, RB Leipzig drew against Werder Bremen, and Bologna moved closer to a Champions League spot with a 2-0 victory over Napoli in Serie A.
