American Girl Will Re-Release 3 Iconic Dolls - The Toy Insider

American Girl has re-released three timeless dolls that have inspired kids to be hardworking, gentle, and courageous for decades.

The three dolls, part of the original six, are Kirsten Larson, Addy Walker, and Josefina Montoya. Released in 1986, 1993, and 1997, respectively, the girls represent some of the most popular and inspiring characters in American Girl’s roster. Kirsten is a Swedish immigrant who helps out on her family farmstead, Addy is a young girl who escaped slavery during the Civil War, and Josefina lives in New Mexico before it became a part of the U.S.

The three re-released dolls come dressed in their original costumes and in the nostalgic Pleasant Company packaging that reads “The American Girls Collection”. Each will include a retro paperback book with some refreshes to ensure the American Girl stories remain relevant as ever. To celebrate birthdays throughout the years, the collection also features re-issued birthday outfits for each character that include a Happy Birthday! paperback.
