All Four Stars Have Extensive Resumes

All four stars joining the Criminal Minds: Evolution cast have a wide variety of onscreen experience, especially on television, that leaves them well-suited to join the crime procedural. This is also true for Paul F. Tomkins, though he has already proven his ability to be a part of the fabric of the franchise. In addition to being a comedian, writer, and podcaster, his other television experience includes Mr. Show with Bob and David, Frasier, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Weeds, Blindspot, and The Twilight Zone.

Clark Gregg also has ample television experience despite one of his best-known roles being Phil Coulson, who has appeared in several installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including 2012's The Avengers. However, on the small screen, he reprised the role of Coulson in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in addition to starring on the political drama The West Wing as FBI Special Agent Mike Casper. The Mummy's Tuc Watkins similarly splits his time between movies and television, with appearances on notable small screen titles including The Office, The Other Two, and the Darren Star shows Melrose Place and Uncoupled.

Phil Coulson's big screen MCU appearances also include Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain Marvel.

Finally, Brian White, whose movies include The Family Stone and I Can Do Bad All By Myself, brings ample crime television experience from shows including The Shield, Chicago P.D., Ray Donovan, and The Rookie. The Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 trailer promises that the new episodes will up the ante from season 1, and these stars all seem well-prepared to help the story amp up the pressure on the team at the center of the show.
