Hollywood icon Aubrey Plaza terrorizes her Megalopolis cast members. Specifically, by channeling her inner witch ahead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next trek into horror with Agatha All Along.

Per Deadline, Plaza discussed how the two-week overlap between production on Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis and the upcoming WandaVision spinoff, Agatha All Along, opened the door to some truly unique on-set shenanigans. With both being filmed in Atlanta within that time frame, Plaza described "[going] from one to the other and would put my Wow wig on and my Wow costume on. And then the next day, I would go to the Agatha set and I'd be dressed as a warrior witch with a dagger and stuff."

Plaza, who portrays television personality Wow Platinum in Megalopolis and is set to play the witch Rio Vidal in Agatha All Along, continued, "At one point, when I was dressed in the Marvel character, I snuck onto the Megalopolis set and I started harassing Giancarlo Esposito and Adam [Driver] and everyone. It was absolutely insane behavior." Plaza added that her portrayal of Wow contributed to her overwhelming confidence throughout production, stating, "She was wildly confident and not scared of anything. And I would say that there were days for sure where I felt empowered by the character."

In October 2023, it was confirmed that Plaza would be playing the role of Rio Vidal, a character entirely original to the MCU, on Agatha All Along alongside leading star Kathryn Hahn in the role of the titular Master of the Mystic Arts. Agatha All Along is a spinoff of 2021's WandaVision starring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, and Paul Bettany as Vision. Though little is known of the character so far, it has been noted that Rio is indeed a witch within Agatha's own coven, and it has been reported that her character arc mirrors that of Dian, better known as the Emerald Warlock.

The Coven Is Strong, Kathryn Hahn Says

Recently, Hahn herself spoke about her time on set, lauding her fellow cast and crew members. "The coven is strong. [Agatha All Along] is hilarious and deep," Hahn said. "I was moved and honored to work with all of these people everyday." Hahn went on to praise the series' set dsigners, particularly for their work on bringing the fabled Witches' Road to life. "We burst into tears when we got on the set, and we saw the actual Witches' Road. It's gorgeous to look at on top of being a fantastic story. It looks like a $100 million movie."

Agatha All Along is slated to premiere on Disney+ on September 18, 2024.
