David Stockton gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSN

Experienced American David Stockton (180-PG-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for league's leader Capitanes de Arecibo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 18.
The 32-year old playmaker had the game-high 32 points adding two rebounds and seven assists for Arecibo in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Santurce (#4, 8-7) 104-102. It allowed Capitanes to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican BSN. Arecibo have a solid 15-3 record. In the team's last game Stockton had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Capitanes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Gonzaga University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stockton is in league's top in points (8th best: 19.2ppg), assists (6th best: 5.6apg) and averages solid 56.5% FGP and 45.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American center Tai Odiase (206-C-1995) of Piratas de Quebradillas. Odiase impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Piratas to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Caguas (#1, 11-5) 106-82. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Quebradillas consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-11 record. Odiase is one of the most experienced players at Quebradillas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last week was American Nick Perkins (203-F/C-1996) of second-ranked Indios de Mayaguez. Perkins scored 26 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Indios, leading his team to a 94-82 win against #2 ranked Guaynabo. Mayaguez needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Group B. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 7 lost games. Perkins has a very solid season. In 19 games in Puerto Rico he scored 18.5ppg. He also has 6.5rpg and a FGP of 55.7%.

7. Deonte Burton (193-G/F-1994) of Guaynabo - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Milton Doyle (193-SG-1993) of Mayaguez - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists
9. Cameron McGriff (201-F-1997) of Aguada - 28 points and 7 rebounds
10. Jahlil Okafor (211-C-1995) of Arecibo - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
