ICE FALL: Joel Kinnaman Takes Cold Aim In A First Look At The New Thriller
Academy Award-winning filmmaker Stefan Ruzowitzky (The Counterfeiters, Deadfall, Netflix’s “Barbarians”) is wrapped in Bulgaria on new action thriller, Ice Fall. A first look is now available with Arclight Films repping international sales at Cannes, and is co-repping domestic with Capstone Global. Take a look:
Ice Fall centers on a young Indigenous game warden who arrests an infamous poacher only to discover that the poacher knows the location of a plane carrying millions of dollars that has crashed in a frozen lake. When a group of criminals and dirty cops are alerted to the poacher’s whereabouts, the warden and the poacher team up to fight back and escape across the treacherous lake before the ice melts.
The cast includes Joel Kinnaman (Suicide Squad, The Suicide Squad, Silent Night), Cara Jade Myers (Killers of the Flower Moon), Danny Huston (Wonder Woman, upcoming The Crow), Academy Award-nominated and First Nations (Oneida) actor Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves, The Green Mile, “Longmire”), Martin Sensmeier (Wind River and upcoming sequel Wind River: Rising, “Yellowstone”), Oliver Trevena (Plane, The Bricklayer) and DeVaughn Nixon (“Marvel’s Runaways,” HBO’s “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty”).
George Mahaffey (Chief of Station starring Olga Kurylenko and Aaron Eckhart) and Steve Isles wrote the pic. Producers are Arclight Films’ Gary Hamilton and Ying Ye, Addam Bramich, Top Film’s Volodymyr Artemenko and Eugene Stupka, Ryan Hamilton and Rob Van Norden.
