Olly Murs has melted hearts as he celebrated his 40th birthday with a series of adorable snaps with his baby daughter Madison.

The singer was surprised with an unexpected gift on his special day - his Madame Tussauds waxwork in Blackpool got a fresh new look to commemorate the occasion. The figure now sports an updated hairstyle, a beard, a black T-shirt and a stylish teal suit, nine years after it first arrived in the popular seaside resort.

But the most precious gift for Olly was spending time with his newborn daughter Madison and wife Amelia Tank. He shared some heartwarming photos on Instagram, captioning them: "The only gift I wanted for my 40th was to be daddy and here you are xx love you Madi".

Fans were quick to wish him a happy birthday and comment on how adorable Madison looked in her 'Happy 40th birthday Daddy' babygrow.

One of his nearly five million followers wrote to the proud new dad: "Happy 40th the most precious present enjoy every second xxx", while another fan gushed: "Happy 40th birthday Olly! Such beautiful photos Have the best day, you deserve it! Madi's the gift of a lifetime xx", reports the Mirror.

Olly and his wife Amelia, who got hitched last year, announced back in December that they were expecting their first child together. Olly posted an adorable pic on Instagram where he looked totally shocked, holding up the ultrasound next to Amelia's growing bump.

The caption was all kinds of sweet, saying: "Baby Murs due 2024."

The proud new parents announced the birth of their baby girl on 17 April, with Olly uploading a heartwarming photo on Instagram showing him and Amelia leaving the hospital. Dressed in matching outfits, Olly held Amelia's hand while carrying their new little one in a car seat.

Olly has opened up about the tough side of parenthood, as he had to leave his newborn at home to get back to work, supporting Take That on their tour. Despite the busy schedule, Olly's been dashing home whenever possible, and even Amelia and baby Madison have been hanging out backstage.

Madison's already getting a taste of the limelight, chilling on stage at the O2 Arena when it was empty.

Showing off their pre-birthday dinner out on Monday, Amelia shared an endearing picture of a grinning Olly, ice cream in hand with a birthday candle tucked inside. The caption read: "For tomorrow".

Sharing an affectionate response to his own Instagram Story, Olly said simply: "[read heart] you!".

The pop star candidly voiced feelings of guilt as he continued touring with Take That, despite the joyful addition to their family.

Speaking at the O2 during one his performances, he described it as the "craziest" period, with his wife and new-born at home while he performed for his fans. According to MailOnline, Olly confessed: "It's been the most craziest time. Cos obviously on one hand I've got this beautiful baby girl, my wife is at home looking after her with the nappies, and the sleepless nights. And I'm on tour with Take That. I feel guilty!".
