Hi, I'm Chris Cornell. I was born in Seattle, Washington on July 20, 1964. From a young age, I felt a passion for music. At 16 years old, I started playing guitar and soon got involved with local bands. In 1984, I founded Soundgarden, one of the pioneers of the grunge movement. With the album 'Badmotorfinger', in 1991, we gained notoriety. The hit 'Black Hole Sun', from the album 'Superunknown', in 1994, took us to worldwide fame. In addition to Soundgarden, I was also the lead singer of Temple of the Dog and Audioslave. In 2007, I recorded the theme song for the film 007 - Casino Royale, becoming the first American singer to do so. However, I struggled with depression and drug addiction. On May 18, 2017, at 52 years old, in Detroit, I committed suicide by hanging. My voice echoes through my songs, and my legacy remains.
