William Evans OBITUARY

WILLIAM “BARRY” EVANS SR. Born on December 14, 1939, passed peacefully into eternal life on June 1, 2005 surrounded by his loving wife and family at Summit Hospital in Oakland, CA. Barry graduated from Castlemont High School in 1957 and was a Teamster of Local 70 for over 37 years. Italian by marriage, he was a member of the Columbo Club and a beloved participant in the community at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church. Barry loved God and is survived by his devoted wife, Yvonne Evans; his son, Barry Evans Jr.; his step-daughters, Renee Weiland; Denise Davila and Michelle Davila; his adoring grandchildren, Steven, Brian, and Lauren Evans; his brother, Jim Valjalo; and his three nephews, Brett, Justin, and Jordan Valjalo. He will be deeply missed by his family and dear friends. A visitation and a funeral mass will both be held on Monday, June 6th at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 3725 High St., Oakland.
