90 Day Fiancé isn’t known for many perfect marriages, especially with the pressures of reality TV.

However, Jon and Rachel Walters of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days fame were together for seven years. Now, the couple has confirmed their split saying, “Our situation is hopeless.” Read on to find out more about why this British/American relationship failed.

Recently, Jon and Rachel Walters of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days shared sad news with their fans. They confirmed that after seven years together, they have split and will not be pursuing Jon’s K-1 visa.

Jon is an English native and appeared with New Mexico native Rachel on season 2 of the 90 Day Fiancé spinoff in 2018. The pair started dating after meeting on a karaoke app and at the time, Rachel was a single mom and was expecting her second child.

Fans watched as Rachel and her baby traveled overseas to meet Jon face to face and she eventually learned that he had been hiding a criminal record. However, despite this, they eventually wed at the end of the season and continued a long-distance relationship while waiting for Jon’s K-1 visa.

Jon Walters confirms their split

Meanwhile, they will no longer be waiting for that visa as Jon posted on Facebook this week to tell their fans that their relationship is over. Moreover, he said his plans to join Rachel in the US have been canceled.

 “The future we wanted for so long isn’t the future we will have,” Jon wrote in the post. “We knew before we started that it would be hard but we always had hope to keep us going when things got tough.”

“Our situation is hopeless and I don’t know what the next chapter in our life will look like. I’m a husband and father by invitation and have never taken that for granted,” he said, adding:

We aren’t the perfect couple, I know I’m far from the husband and father I want to be or wish I could be but long-distance relationships are only ever meant to be temporary.

Moreover, Jon explained that he and Rachel “need time and space” to work out what happens next, before thanking fans that have supported them over the years.

Rachel posts ‘Final Visa Update’

Rachel Walters confirms split from Jon

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Rachel shared a video to her Instagram page, captioned, “Final Visa Update.” The former TLC reality star shared news of their split, saying:

It absolutely pains me to post this. This isn’t the update we wanted to share. This isn’t the ending we were hoping for, nor is it the finale we were thinking would happen. Long-distance relationships can be brutal on the toughest of couples. We fought hard for a long time and stayed strong for over 7 years, waiting.

Meanwhile, Rachel explained that the distance for so many years has taken its toll. She added, “We have, unfortunately, grown too far apart. The decision has been made, on our end, to not continue,” adding the sad words, “The visa journey is sadly over.”

Rachel asked her followers to give them both “privacy and time to adjust to our new reality,” adding:
