The Shamrocks competed in the HCC Championships on May 2. In the field events, Robert Campbell earned a runner-up finish in the high jump, clearing 6'4. Alex Wilson finished finished 4th in the pole vault, clearing 14 feet. Hayden Pentecost finished 5th in the discus with a throw of 148 feet, 3 inches. The 4x800 of Maxim Poirier, Caleb Haney, Ian Porter, and Will Snedeker featured PRs by all four runners, including a 1:56 leg from Haney. The relay hit the state standard -- if they accomplish that feat again at the Sectional and Regional meets, they will advance to the State meet. The 4x400 of Caleb Terril, Haney, Snedeker, and Jack Huisden also finished 3rd. The relay's total time of 3:24.07 was a season best. Haney ran another career best split of 50.0, while Huisden (a late substitution after injury) earned a PR split on the anchor leg as well. Other scorers included Snedeker in the 400m dash, Huisden in the 110m hurdles, and Campbell in the long jump.
