The Byrds - the 60's and 70's rock band. Members included Roger McGuinn, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, Gene Clark, Gram Parsons, Clarence White. Country rock, raga rock, folk rock pioneers.
So, apparently there's a version of "Tried So Hard" - a Gene Clark cover by the band, on which GENE sings lead vocals on the 1st verse. That's what I heard, and I've been trying to find it for a while. Does anyone know further details?
