Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle reunited during the rain break at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru during RCB's match against CSK on May 18, Saturday. Often regarded as the brothers of destruction, Gayle gave great company to Kohli during the brief downpour in the crucial IPL 2024 game. The duo engaged in a light-hearted conversation and shared a laugh amid the high-intensity clash on which both teams' playoffs hopes were pinned on. The Universe Boss Gayle, donned RCB's jersey as he came out to support his former team during their all-important clash.

Gayle was accompanied by Rishab Shetty -- the director of the blockbuster Kannada movie, Kanthara -- as the duo cheered for RCB from the stands. Gayle had posted an Instagram story ahead of the match and flaunted his RCB jersey with No. 333 imprinted on it. Stars grace the Chinnaswamy Stadium

The former RCB openers have scripted memorable partnerships together to give RCB some great wins. Not just Gayle, RCB's WPL title-winning team was also at the stands at the packed stadium. Smriti Mandhana along with Asha Sobhana, Shreyanka Patil and Jemimah Rodrigues attended the blockbuster clash. Rain had halted RCB's early onslaught on the CSK bowlers. It was raining sixes in Bengaluru before it started raining. The opening duo of Kohli and Faf du Plessis were on fire as they had scored 31 runs in the first 3 overs. During the 2nd over, Kohli pulled Tushar Deshpande's delivery for a six that hit the roof of Chinnaswamy Stadium. With the magnificent six, Kohli completed 3000 runs at RCB's home ground, the most at a venue in the IPL. After a brief period of rain interruption, the game had resumed again.
