ROUNDUP

BASEBALL

Brody Barrett fanned nine while allowing just five hits and a walk, pacing Millis in a 3-1 Tri-Valley League win over Bellingham.

Freshman Luke Joyce tossed a complete game, three-hitter, striking out six on just 82 pitches as Braintree (16-3) defeated Needham in the Bay State Conference, 4-1.

Alex Crook singled in the game-winning run as Somerset Berkley (13-4) edged Case 4-3 in the South Coast Conference. … Caiden Cyr scattered five hits in a complete-game effort as Apponequet (13-4) defeated Bourne, 5-1.

Henry Carter’s one-hitter paired with Ollie Henke’s RBI double to give Cambridge (11-6) just what it needed in a 1-0 nonleague win over Latin Academy. … Southpaw Matt Flynn tossed a six-inning complete game with six strikeouts while battery mate Robbie Welch (two runs, two RBI) doubled three times as Shawsheen (15-3) cruised past Wilmington, 12-1. … A 3-for-4 performance from Tommy O’Donnell (three RBI) backed a combined one-hitter from Alex Parisi, Charlie Bushley and Xavien Suero to lead BC High (13-4) over Boston Latin, 9-1. … A two-out double from Brett Mulligan plated the go-ahead run in the seventh inning to cap off Catholic Memorial’s (8-10) 3-2 win over North Andover. … Chase Lagoa had four hits as Greater New Bedford Voke defeated West Brdgewater, 11-4.

Mike Moroney pitched six innings while allowing two runs and striking out six, leading Danvers in a 6-4 Northeastern Conference win over Swampscott.

In Patriot League play, Ben Freedman struck out nine en route to his first varsity win as Hanover beat Quincy, 10-0. Thomas Perkins and Cole Hendrickson (three RBI) each notched four hits in the win.

Ty Gilmore tossed a complete game two-hitter for Georgetown in a 6-0 Cape Ann League win over Newburyport.

Alex Finn went 2-for-2 and with four RBI, while John Richard and Connor McGoldrick combined for the shutout as Dennis-Yarmouth defeated Nantucket 10-0 in the Cape and Islands.

BOYS LACROSSE

Cole Rodgers finished with six goals to go with a pair of assists, while Shane Corcoran racked up 13 saves in the cage as Sandwich knocked off South Shore League foe Abington, 12-5.

In nonleague action, Willy Robinson (three goals, five assists) led the way while Charlie Hartwell, Quinn DeCourcey, Dolan Floyd and Will Cahill each registered a hat trick apiece as Scituate (14-5) erupted for an 18-4 win over Barnstable.

Mason Bachry has four goals and Ryan Tighe added four assists as Central Catholic (9-8) defeated Campbell (NH) 9-8 in a nonleague contest.

GIRLS LACROSSE
Medfield enjoyed a big milestone night as part of a 21-5 Tri-Valley League win over Holliston, as senior Alex Proefrock notched her 300th career point and senior Katelyn Nicotera recorded her 300th save.

In a nonleague contest, Gretchen Smith (five goals, two assists) and Maddie Forbes (four goals, two assists) helped to propel Marblehead (6-11) during a 17-6 win over North Reading. … Emily Keefe’s three goals and four assists helped her surpass the 200-point plateau, leading Bridgewater-Raynham in a 14-10 win over Dighton-Rehoboth. … Iris Gjoka recorded her 100th career goal for North Quincy in a 16-11 win over Stoughton. … Nicolette Licare’s four goals paired with hat tricks from Kierstyn Zinter (two assists) and Kerri Finneran to bolster Central Catholic (18-0-2) in a 15-3 win over Winchester.

In the Commonwealth Athletic Conference, Meghan Lesniak recorded a hat trick to guide Greater Lowell (14-2) to a 6-3 victory over Lowell Catholic.

Shelby Locascio buried four goals, Claire Kayajan tacked on a hat trick and Alyssa McEneaney posted seven points (five assists) to help Barnstable edge Martha’s Vineyard, 12-11, in Cape and Islands League play.

Allie Wile (hat trick), Lyla Greenleaf (hat trick) and Halle Greenlead (two goals, two assists) paced things offensively, while Lucy Winthrop (two goals, assist) recorded her 100th career draw control as Ipswich defeated Hamilton-Wenham in the Cape Ann League, 15-7.

Laney Larsen had an impressive game with seven goals and an assist, as Cohasset captured the South Shore League title with a 13-10 win over rival Norwell.

Avery Laundry caught fire for seven goals and an assist, Chloe Puzzo buried four goals with an assist and Coco Clopton (two assists) added a hat trick as Swampscott (13-2) routed Danvers, 18-6.

SOFTBALL

In the Patriot League, Delaney Moquin picked up her 400th career strikeout while tossing a no hitter as Silver Lake (15-2) blanked Whitman-Hanson 6-0.

Brenna Howley’s double tied the game in the seventh inning and Maddie McDonald followed with a walkoff double, powering Abington (18-1) to a 2-1 nonleague win over Pembroke while Elsie Testa (seven strikeouts) tossed her first no-hitter. … Brigid Gaffny set down nine via strikeout while Lauren Lynch and Jenna Roche each scored on wild pitches in the fourth inning, leading North Andover to a 2-0 win over Bedford. … Madison Nereu batted 2-for-2 and scored twice as Monomoy (14-4) defeated Wareham, 12-3. … Angelina Grimes went 5-for-5 with a triple, a double and four RBI, pacing Cohasset (9-7) to a 17-5 victory over Scituate. … Noey Giardina drove in two and three others notched multiple hits for Hanover in an 8-3 win over NDA (H). … Becca Harris had four hits and Whitney Gigante fanned 11 as Tewksbury defeated Woburn, 9-3.

Soline Fisher struck out 12 while scattering four hits as Arlington earned at least a share of the Middlesex League Liberty title with a 5-0 victory over Lexington.

Cam Cloonan went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, as Dighton-Rehoboth coasted to a 17-2 victory over Seekonk in South Coast Conference play. … Arianna Camara (3-for-3, two doubles, triple) and Christina Magnett (2-for-3, run) starred from the plate and Lauren Bernaiche (complete game, two earned runs, four hits, one walk, 11 strikeouts) starred from the circle to guide Apponequet past Bourne, 4-3.

In the Northeastern Conference, Elsa Reulet finished 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBI as Beverly defeated Swampscott, 15-7. … Five different players tallied at least two hits and Tessa Francis (two earned runs, 14 strikeouts) picked up her 200th career strikeout for Marblhead en route to a 9-2 win over Danvers.

Emma Penniman allowed just a walk in a no-hitter while doubling twice at the plate as Triton routed Manchester-Essex 12-0 in Cape Ann League action.

In the Cape & Islands League, Brooke Chicoine drove in five runs on hits as Dennis-Yarmouth outslugged Sturgis East 11-2.

Sharlotte Stazinski had 13 strikeouts as Walpole defeated Natick 8-2 in a Bay State Conference contest. … Victoria Fish had three hits as Milton defeated Weymouth, 10-0.

Katie Fox and Olivia Moeckel homered as Central Catholic defeated Chelmsford 12-0 in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

VOLLEYBALL

Senior Daniel Imasuen slammed 14 kills and Gabe Ugoji added 10 kills to lead Latin Academy over Madison Park, 3-0, in Boston City League play.

James Shriver and Liam Poole each posted 10 kills as BC High topped Xaverian, 3-0, in Catholic Conference action. … Francis McGonagle’s 14 kills and three blocks combined with Eric Barcelos’ 15 kills and two blocks to propel St. John’s (S) (9-9) over Catholic Memorial, 3-0.

Behind 18 kills from Liam Quinn and 30 assists from Jack MacPhee, Chelmsford bested Merrimack Valley Conference foe Central Catholic, 3-0. … Drew Eason posted 11 kills while Lucas Giard recorded 10 kills with four blocks to lead Methuen to a 3-0 win over Lawrence and its first MVC title since 1998.

Branch Barnes’ 11 kills and John Carroll’s seven kills anchored Natick in a 3-0 nonleague win over Newton South.

Ruben Rodriguez registered 15 kills, while Larry Claudio added 23 assists as Revere defeated Lynn Classical 3-0 in the Greater Boston League.

GIRLS TENNIS

In nonleague action, Sonika Chaudhary, Mia Thomas and Hila Berman accounted for the third points as Andover (15-2) bested Manchester-Essex 3-2 in a nonleague contest. The victory was No. 200 for head coach Alan Hibino, who took over the program in 2013.

Olivia Rumsey, Maggie O’Connell and Brooke Tabicas led the way with victories in singles as Durfee defeated Westport, 5-0.

Kohana Fontinha, Brynn Mclaughlin and Jillian Maher won their matches in straight sets as Apponequet defeated Bourne 5-0 in the South Coast Conference.

SCHOOLS

The Massachusetts roster for the High School Baseball National was announced yesterday. The 18-man squad will compete in the nationals at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska from June 27-30. Members of the squad, which is comprised of players from the 2025 and 2026 classes includes pitchers Robert Brown III (Phillips Andover), Brady Bumila (Bishop Feehan), Gian Gamelli (Hamilton-Wenham), Chris Jaillet (Andover), Davis Kohn (Milton Academy), Tyler Kropis (Seekonk), Scott Longo (Milton), John Paone (Lawrence Academy) and Koby Seelig (IMG Academy), catchers Brett Gallo (St. Sebastian’s), Bradley McCafferty (Austin Prep) and Cooper Tarantino (Lincoln-Sudbury), infielders Charlie Criscola (Uxbridge), Tom Pender (Roxbury Latin) and William Shaheen (St. John’s Prep) along with outfielders Danny Flynn (Phillips Andover), Danati Fronduto (Montverde Academy), Will Norris (Andover), Jackson Richard (BC High) and Gabriel Malaret (Dexter Southfield).
