Missouri softball live score updates vs. Washington in NCAA Columbia Regional
For a shot at the championship, and for another shot at the plucky four-seed, it’s Washington versus Missouri softball.
Mizzou, which is the No. 7 national seed and host of the NCAA Columbia Regional, eliminated Indiana from the regional Saturday afternoon at Mizzou Softball Stadium, taking down the Hoosiers 5-1 earlier Saturday. Before that, Omaha, which had already won its opener against Missouri, defeated Washington 3-2 to reach the championship.

Now, the Tigers face their second game in the losers bracket. They’ll face the regional’s No. 2-seed, Washington, for an invitation to Sunday’s championship and the potential NCAA Super Regional berth on home turf that comes with a title.
MU, coached by Larissa Anderson since 2019, reached the championship in the 2024 SEC Softball Tournament, knocking off Ole Miss, Arkansas and LSU before falling to Florida in the title game. The Tigers, who are 43-15 this season, have more wins than in any other season under Anderson.
Mizzou last advanced to an NCAA Super Regional in 2021, when the Tigers fell to James Madison. MU has fallen in the regional round every other season in Anderson’s tenure.
Mizzou’s bats went cold in a 3-1, extra-inning loss to Omaha on Friday evening. The Tigers provided ace Laurin Krings some run support in the win over the Hoosiers, but still was reliant on its pitching staff.
