Chris Pratt's stunt double Tony McFarr passes away at 47; actor pays emotional tribute

Tony McFarr, a renowned Hollywood stunt double, best known for his work with 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star Chris Pratt, passed away at the age of 47.
The news of his demise on Monday, was confirmed by his mother to TMZ and also reported by the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, Florida. An official cause of death has not yet been revealed, but according to reports, Tony‘s mother said that his passing was “unexpected and shocking.”
McFarr's career as a stunt double spanned over a decade.He shot to fame as Chris Pratt's stunt double in the 2015 film 'Jurassic World', and went on to become his body double for blockbuster films like Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2', 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' and 'Passengers'.
After the news of the stuntman's demise broke, Pratt took to his Instagram handle to pen a heartfelt note, remembering McFarr. Sharing a bunch of photos from the sets, Pratt wrote, "Devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr. We did several movies together."
"We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set. He was an absolute stud. He was always a gentleman and professional," Pratt said and concluded, "He’ll be missed. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter."
McFarr’s stunt career included work on numerous major films and TV shows. His credits also feature 'Captain America: Civil War', 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2', 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes', and 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle'.
He was also stunt doubled for other actors like Jon Hamm and Brendan Fraser.
