When Seamus Makim, aged five, stood beside Prince William as a pageboy at the wedding of his aunt, Sarah Ferguson, he wore a crisp, white sailor suit.
At his own wedding on Saturday, Sarah, Duchess of York and his mother, Jane, opted for even more striking outfits.
The sisters wore traditional German dress for the wedding in Germany, where Seamus – whose father is Jane’s first husband, Alex Makim – has lived for some time.
The film-maker exchanged vows with his fiancee, Sibylle.
Jane describes it as a ‘perfect day’.

After the engagement was announced last autumn, Fergie said: ‘I am so deeply happy for my darling Seamus. He is a man of such goodness and caring, particularly in his devotion for nature. His work as a film-maker in the oceans is beyond amazing.’
She added of his bride: ‘I really am so impressed with lovely Sybille, and I know they will be the happiest ever couple, devoted to each other and Seamus’s two boys.’

King Charles is offering ‘exclusive access tours’ of his Norfolk retreat.
Visitors will be able to have a nose round ‘all eight downstairs rooms used by the Royal Family’.
And, with tickets at £85, they’ll get afternoon tea thrown in — plus a chance to sample gin or apple juice in the ballroom — and a guided tour, ‘bringing the estate history to life’.
Sandringham is set in 20,000 acres, with 60-acre gardens. It is where the royals spend Christmas and where George VI died in 1952.
Parts of Balmoral are also now open, though afternoon tea is a steeper £150.
