A 25-year-old man from unincorporated Des Plaines was killed in a traffic accident early Thursday morning when the car he was in slammed into a light pole along Lake Shore Drive in Chicago.
According to reports, at about 12:30 a.m. a car heading northbound on Lake Shore Drive swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle. The 20-year-old driver of the car that swerved struck a curb and then hit a light pole.
