I tried to change my current phone number and it told me that an error has occurred and won’t let me change it on the app

Hey there, user_iiheqo! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on Xfinity Forums! Just to ensure we are on the same page, are you attempting to update your contact information or change a Xfinity Home phone number? Or is this regarding Xfinity Mobile number?

I want to update my current phone number in my account to a new phone number but it won’t let me change the mobile phone number on the app or do I choose a different phone number for myself or am I given one

Have you attempted to update your mobile number through the online web portal using the instructions outlined here?

I only have tried it on my phone through the app and tried on the website same issue just says we can not pull up your information at this time. I’ve tried using those steps but pops up with an error

I am happy we were able to get to the bottom of the concerns with the phone number, and deciding to reach out to our Xfinity Mobile experts to assist with changing that phone number by calling (888) 936-4968.
