Swatantrya Veer Savarkar OTT release date: Randeep Hooda's film hit the big screen on March 22, 2024. It clashed with Kunal Kemmu's film Madgaon Express at the box office. Almost two months after its theatrical release, Randeep and Ankita Lokhande's film, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, is scheduled for an OTT premiere. It will be released on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium soon. Today (May 20), the streaming platform made an official announcement about the same.

ZEE5 shared a promo of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar on their official Instagram handle. The interesting aspect of Randeep and Ankita's OTT premiere lies in its release date. The film, directed by Randeep, will premiere on the streaming platform on Veer Savarkar's 141st birth anniversary, which is on May 28.

While sharing the above-shared promo on the gram, the makers penned, "Ankhand Bharat tha unka sapna, Hindutva thi jiski buniyaad. Watch the untold story of VeerSavarkar - ‘India’s Most Dangerous Revolutionary Ever’, premiering on his 141st birthday, 28th May only on ZEE5 (sic)."
Randeep Hooda on Swatantrya Veer Savarkar's OTT release
Meanwhile, Randeep is looking forward to the world digital premiere of his film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The actor feels May 28 is the perfect day to pay tribute to the most influential revolutionary, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, of the Indian Armed Revolution.
In an official statement, the Bollywood actor spoke about playing the titular role in the film. "I must admit that I learnt a lot more about this inspiring hero after I started working on this project and I want to share this film with as many people as possible to counter the false narrative spread in popular culture to bury his legacy. It was an honour playing the life of this influential yet maligned revolutionary who has left such a rich and inspiring legacy behind," he said.
